Officials told to expedite development works under Amrit Bharat scheme at Erode railway station
The Divisional Railway Manager of Salem Railway Division, Panna Lal, conducted an inspection at Erode Railway Station on Friday to review the ongoing infrastructure development and renovation works under the Amrit Bharat scheme.
The visit focused on various works in progress, including the construction of an overbridge and improvements to passenger amenities. He reviewed facilities such as the reservation counters, automatic ticket vending machines, retiring rooms, and the air-conditioned waiting hall for passengers.
During the inspection, Mr. Panna Lal examined the construction plan for the pending overbridge and instructed railway officials to address existing deficiencies in the facilities without delay. He also stated that appropriate action would be taken regarding complaints of unauthorised use of disused railway quarters in the area.
