Catriona Gray attends ‘Mayhem' concert in a Lady Gaga-inspired look
Catriona Gray was among the celebrities who did not miss catching Lady Gaga's 'Mayhem' concert in Singapore, the only Southeast Asian stop on the pop star's world tour. On Instagram, the Miss Universe 2018 shared her glam for the concert, which was inspired by Lady Gaga's look in the end scene of the 'Paparazzi' music video released in 2009. Catriona's look featured a blonde bob cut wig styled by Paul Nebres and a smoky mug with glitter falling off her eyes, cosplaying as tears. 'Hala, iiyak nanaman siya, this time in glitter,' Catriona wrote in the caption. In a separate post, the Filipino-Australian beauty queen shared her outfit for the concert: a little black dress adorned with a panel of gold metallic fringe that runs vertically down the front. Aside from Catriona, other Filipino celebrities who did not miss out on Lady Gaga's concert were Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz, and Vice Ganda, to name a few. The 'Mayhem' concert is Lady Gaga's first Singapore concert in 13 years. She last performed in the Little Red Dot in 2012 for her 'Born This Way' tour. — Hermes Joy Tunac/LA, GMA Integrated News

Longtime Italian restaurant in Peoria Heights closing its doors in July
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — After more than four decades, an Italian restaurant with Old World charm in Peoria Heights is serving its last meals. Tucked away on quiet Voss Street in Peoria Heights, Paparazzi has never needed an advertisement or a Facebook page. It's run solely by owners and husband-wife duo Bruce Brown and Lisa Mancuso. 'It's always kind of been this kind of speakeasy kind of place. You got to know somebody who tells you to go in there,' said Lisa. For 42 years, the couple has run the restaurant by themselves. Lisa handles the front of the house, while chef Bruce whips up the meals in the kitchen. 'There are only two people that work in the kitchen, me and the dishwasher. It is very labor intensive. And on the coin word, it's also dedication intensive,' said Bruce. No line cooks. No computers, only calculators. Every order is written on paper. Each dish is made individually, even if multiple guests at the table order the same one. 'I do every one, I plate every one. I push it towards the server by myself. Every one,' said Bruce. 'If four people order spaghetti with meatballs, they get made in four separate parts at the same time. One, two, three, four. They get tossed into a little sauté pan to cook off the running water, and they get plated one by one. And if somebody here orders four, then those four get cooked separately, too.' 'Each one is cooked to order. It's not like there's a vat of tortellini back there, or somebody orders tortellini and we scoop it out,' added Lisa. That personal touch is what the couple said has built them a loyal following for generations. 'We don't advertise. We celebrate. They're all of their ups, all of their downs. We have one family that we've had four generations as customers,' said Lisa. Even through the pandemic, Bruce kept cooking and Lisa kept the restaurant running. That's because for the Browns, it was never just about the food. 'It's that connection to people that makes this place special,' said Lisa. 'The secret sauce is three words: family, family, family,' said Bruce. Another secret to their longevity? Staying consistent and predictable. 'We've had basically the same concept of the same recipes all this time. We're not one of these places that every other minute is changing and somebody comes in and it's just like, wait a minute, what's different? So I think a lot of those consistencies is what has kept this place going for 42 years,' said Bruce. After four decades, Bruce and Lisa say the time has come to move on and slow down. But its bittersweet. 'This one is going to be very difficult. I'm going to miss this knowing when people come in here and as much as I hate getting down on my knees and reaching in that oven, I'm going to miss that,' said Bruce. If you want to take a piece of Paparazzi home, you can! The artwork on the walls, green tables and chairs are up for grabs. There's even a cookbook so you can try your hand at the Browns' recipes. 'The last day is July 5, which is the day that we opened 42 years ago, July 5, 1983. So if we had an epitaph, the days are the same,' Bruce said with a laugh. Then on July 13, they are hosting one last party from 1 to 4 p.m. with an open bar, bag pipes and a rifle salute by American Post Legion 2. It's a farewell fit for a legend. Best street style from Lady Gaga's Mayhem Ball Tour in Singapore
Singapore is currently in the throes of mayhem , courtesy of Mother Monster herself. Lady Gaga's Mayhem Ball Tour has finally blazed its way to our shores and just last night, she kicked off her four-night streak at the National Stadium with an epic opening night. With power packed performances of the new and the old, featuring hits like 'Abracadabra', 'Paparazzi' and 'Poker Face', it's safe to say the supernova exceeded expectations. In true Gaga style, the lead-up to the show felt more like a movement than a moment. The anticipation has been palpable for weeks with events being held across the island, from themed parties to art jamming sessions. But for concert-goers, the preparations didn't stop there because for a Lady Gaga concert, your outfit is the ticket to the ball. Typically, a regular concert in our humid swelter might call upon the most practical ensembles but practicality has no place at a Gaga show. If the leather jackets, sheer tights and platform boots that defy gravity spotted all around the city were not enough of a tell, there were handcrafted pieces to recreations of Gaga's most iconic music video looks, as attendees ensured that they'll be strutting in no less than their bold, unapologetic best. Outside the stadium, one can easily glean a different era of the Grammy-award winning artist's vast discography; be it the dark, gothic deliveries that could have stepped straight off the 'Born This Way' stage or the cyber futurism of Gaga's Chromatica . With three more nights to go, one thing's for sure, the little monsters in town are just getting started. Till then, spot the most high octane, elaborate and downright audacious street style looks from Lady Gaga's Mayhem Ball Tour in Singapore, as captured by Leong Su Shan. Everything We Know About Suri Cruise
When it comes to famous celebrity kids, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes's daughter Suri has made her mark in more ways than one. Currently living in NYC with mom Holmes, Suri has been a subject of fascination since the moment she was born — but then again, that's what happens when you're the kid of Tom Cruise. When Cruise and Holmes had a dramatic split in 2012, Suri's life was changed forever as she and Holmes moved across the country and severed ties with Cruise. Facing more paparazzi attention than ever, Suri's formative years were undeniably tough — but all the while, she's grown up beautifully from a fashionista toddler to a mature, accomplished teen. Cruise and Holmes' relationship (and subsequently, Suri) got as much attention as it did largely because of Cruise's association with the Church of Scientology, whose influence Holmes was reportedly trying to escape when she filed for divorce. But Holmes fleeing to the East Coast only intensified the paparazzi attention around them, and Suri's mom knows it can't have been easy for her daughter. 'We were followed a lot when she was little,' Holmes previously told Instyle. 'I just wanted her outside, so I would walk her around to find parks at, like, 6 in the morning when nobody would see us.' While all that attention might have made some kids want to run and hide, Suri embraced it, waving at the paparazzi cheekily and marching to the beat of her own drum. 'She came out very strong — she's always been a strong personality,' Holmes added. Now, Suri is 19 years old after celebrating her birthday yesterday, April 18. So, here are a few things you should know about this remarkable young lady. A version of this was originally published in April 2020. Suri Cruise has been taking ballet her whole life, and dad Tom used to drop her off at dance lessons. She also briefly studied guitar, but dropped the classes over conflict with the teacher. Avenues is an elite private school in Manhattan where Holmes enrolled her daughter. Tuition costs $56,000 per year. Suri's wardrobe in her early years was a thing of legend, with all the wealth of Cruise and Holmes behind her. She was once named 'Hollywood's Hottest Tot' because of how frequently her style was mentioned in the news, and reportedly had a wardrobe worth $3.2 million — $150,000 just in shoes. One perk of having moved to the East Coast? Suri has all the access she wants to her favorite broadway shows, and thanks to mom Holmes, can usually get backstage too. So far, she's seen Finding Neverland, Cats, School of Rock, Kinky Boots, Dear Evan Hansen, and more. Suri lived with her mom and dad until she was six years old, arriving six months before their Nov. 2006 wedding. When Holmes filed for divorce in 2012, she was awarded primary custody of Suri with visitation rights granted to Cruise, and she's lived with her mom ever since. While we may still picture Suri like this at times, there's no denying the teen is growing up! On a recent shopping trip in NYC, Suri and mom Holmes were spotted side by side (see Daily Mail photos here), and Suri looks just a few inches away from her mom's 5'9″ frame. In early 2022, Suri adopted an adorable puppy. She's been seen walking the little pup around, looking as happy as can be. Per DailyMail, Suri has a wardrobe reportedly worth $5 million, further showing her love for fashion. For the past few years, Suri has hinted at her affinity for music. In fact, for the film Katie directed called Alone Together, Suri sang 'Blue Moon' on the soundtrack, and in another one of her mom's films. Since her senior year of college, she's starred in multiple plays: as Morticia Addams in her school's production of The Addams Family, and Philoclea in Head Over Heels. And in these plays, she went by Suri Noelle. Suri Cruise was spotted wearing a Carnegie Mellon University sweatshirt for her school's college day in 2024, indicating she's enrolled there.
