RCB victory parade: Atleast 2 feared dead after stampede-like situation near Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy stadium
A stampede-like situation occurred near Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday during the RCB victory parade, leaving at least 2 feared dead and 15 people injured. Among the injured, three persons are reported to be in critical condition.
The incident took place as massive crowds gathered to celebrate the team's triumph.
After initially saying that the victory parade was cancelled, the Bengaluru Traffic Police said it has made 'preparations in case it happens'.
Earlier in the day, Home Minister Parameshwara Rao said that there will be no victory parade for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) men's cricket team after its maiden Indian Premier League title win in 18 years.
After news emerged that the victory parade had been cancelled, Bangalore Central MP PC Mohan slammed the state government.
