Phoebe Tonkin's WILD wedding cake raises eyebrows as the Aussie star shares behind-the-scenes snaps from her nuptials to Bernard Lagrange

From the mesmerising Chanel gown to the magical New York City setting, Phoebe Tonkin's chic wedding to Bernard Lagrange has been the talk of the town this week. However, a swan-inspired gateau has really taken the cake. The Aussie star, 35, took to Instagram on Thursday to share a sneak peek at some of the intimate details of her nuptials, which included bespoke bridesmaids pyjamas and multiple gown changes. But it was pictures of Phoebe's wedding cakes - life-sized swans made with buttercream and rose petals - that had people's jaws on the floor. The three-tiered cakes, adorned with swan wings, necks and beaks, were made by baked good connoisseur Paris Starn and sat on large silver serving trays. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter t o stay in the loop. Fans flooded social media with praise for the quirky cakes. 'I love Phoebe Tonkin- watching her Vogue wedding photos come in is my Super Bowl. The dress, the double swan cake moment- simply perfection, no notes,' one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter. 'OHMYGOD THESE CAKES ARE UNREAL,' another wrote on Instagram. One person added: 'The rose petal heads? Next level!' Several big name Aussie stars attended the nuptials, including Margot Robbie, Teresa Palmer, Samara Weaving and Lara Worthington, joined the happy couple for what appeared to be a weekend of festivities. Bella Heathcote, Jessica McNamee and Ilona Hamer also made their way onto the guest list for the two-day celebrations. Other high-profile guests included British actress Annabelle Wallis, former bass player of The Donnas Maya Ford, Canadian actress Nesta Cooper and Mexican singer and actress Eiza González. Phoebe's Vampire Diaries co-star Nina Dobrev and H2O co-star Claire Holt were also in attendance. It seems the official wedding took place on Saturday in the Big Apple. Photos of the occasion saw Australia's golden girls glammed up in designer outfits as they enjoyed the festivities. One happy photo of the couple, taken by actress Maya, saw Phoebe and Bernard posing together in a vintage photo booth. 'Happily ever after,' said one caption, while another said: 'What a weekend celebrating this angel.' Meanwhile, the bride rocked two very chic looks for her big day, as well as an iconic New York homage for one wedding festivity. In a slew of pictures, the Vampire Diaries star flaunted her figure in a newsprint gown, similar to Carrie Bradshaw's 1998 Dior number in Sex and the City. For her nuptials, Phoebe wore a stunning white sequinned Chanel dress with floral detailing, while Bernard opted for a classic black suit. She then slipped into a custom after party gown by Magda Butrym, with a low-plunging floral detail on the front.

This Mother's Day, Let Paris Starn Show You How to Make the Ultimate Breakfast in Bed

This Mother's Day, moms everywhere will wake up to the same touching scene: their children and spouses presenting them with breakfast in bed. It's a gesture that is the epitome of 'it's the thought that counts' (as a kid, this writer remembers presenting some under-toasted bread). But this year, we asked food stylist Paris Starn to do her take on the tradition—and to essentially create a Mother's Day mood-board for the rest of us in the process. 'I had so much fun conceptualizing a Mother's Day spread,' Starn says of her breakfast in bed tray. 'I combined all of my mother's favorites: lilacs, a latte, and pancakes,' she says. The result: crepes served with lemon, sugared lilacs, and butter. (Starn said she was inspired by those served at the James Beard Award-nominated Café Mutton in Hudson.) She picked up flowers—making sure they were pesticide and insecticide free—at the Union Square Farmer's Market. Some, she put in a vase. Others she turned into decorative edible accents: 'I then decorated some of the lilac flowers by dipping them in egg white, blotting them on a towel, sprinkling the sugar on top, and letting them dry overnight in the fridge,' she says. Starn also made her batter the night before, which included lemon zest-infused super-fine sugar. 'All I had to do the next morning was quickly finish up the batter and then fry up the pancakes,' she says. 'While the pancakes cooked, I set up the tray: placing a lilac sprig in an egg cup, and making the latte. I plated everything on my mother's wedding dinnerware, with napkins and silverware.' Find Starn's recipe to recreate this Mother's Day—or to inspire you in future years—below. They were excellent, and I couldn't stop thinking about them. They were pudgy and tender in the center with crisp airy edges—unlike any crêpe I've had before.
