BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office was called to the scene of a fatal crash in Baton Rouge on Thursday, May 29, according to officials with EMS. The incident occurred at 2100 Capri Drive. EMS confirmed that one person died in the crash, and another individual was transported to a nearby hospital. The condition of the hospitalized person remains unknown at this time. 1 dead, 1 hurt in shooting at apartments in Baton Rouge, officials say
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office was called to the scene of a deadly shooting at the Avalon Apartments, 13047 Florida Boulevard on Thursday, May 22, according to EMS. The Baton Rouge Police Department said the call came in around 5:45 a.m. and the shooting left one man dead another woman hurt. EMS confirmed that one person was taken to the hospital and their condition is unknown. The investigation remains ongoing and more information will be shared as it becomes available. Coroner identifies person killed in crash on Thomas Road
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office was called to the scene of a deadly crash Sunday, May 18. Coroner's office needs help identifying man found dead in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Authorities need help identifying a man found dead in the backyard of a duplex on the 1800 block of N. Harco Drive in Baton Rouge. The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office responded to the scene on April 9 after the body of a Hispanic male was discovered by local residents. Officials have not confirmed his identity, even after fingerprint analysis and other investigations. The coroner's office said neighbors believe the man may have gone by the name 'Carlos Rodriguez' and was known to be homeless, often sleeping in a disabled vehicle nearby. He was last seen alive around 6 p.m. on April 8 and did not appear to be in any distress at the time. The man was found wearing a camouflage jacket, black pants, and black shoes. He had no tattoos, visible scars, or identification, and no signs of trauma were found during the preliminary investigation, the coroner's office said. The Baton Rouge Police Department's Homicide Division is helping in the ongoing investigation. The LSU FACES Laboratory developed a photo enhancement of the deceased. Man killed after car goes over railing on I-110
