The expansion comes as part of efforts to meet growing demand during the busy
Park4Less remains the airport's best-value parking option, ideal for passengers embarking on longer holidays.
Shannon Airport has taken to Facebook to share the announcement.
They said: "1,000 new spaces have just landed in our Park4Less car park!

"Our best value Park4Less car park is perfect for those heading off on longer summer holidays, and like all our car parks, it is still only a short walk to the terminal."
There are now more than 5,600 parking spaces available across five car parks at Shannon Airport.
And depending on the chosen car park, walking time to the terminal ranges from just 30 seconds to seven minutes.
Airport bosses are now strongly advising passengers to pre-book parking during peak periods.

Meanwhile, Ryanair has announced three new routes from the Irish airport that will take off this winter.
