Calgary police release pictures of suspect in e-bike theft outside Ogden pub
Calgary police are hoping to identify a man who allegedly stole a custom e-bike outside of a pub in the community of Ogden.
Police say the owner parked the e-bike directly in front of Partners Pub and Grill, in the 7700 block of 18 Street S.E., just before noon on Friday, May 16, to pick up a food order.
Minutes later, he exited the pub to discover his bike was gone.
Police say CCTV footage shows the suspect walking past the bike with a dog at 11:47 a.m., before returning at 11:53 a.m. to take it
'The suspect is seen on CCTV travelling on the bike through the parking lot of the pub before crossing 18 Street S.E. and into the alley behind the 1800 block of 76 Avenue S.E.,' police said in a Thursday news release.
The suspect is described as 40 to 50 years old and 5′8″ (173 cm) to 6′ tall (183 cm) with a slim build and brown hair.
He was wearing black pants, a black Tommy Hilfiger hoodie, a black Nike hat, white sunglasses, a black shoulder bag and black-and-white shoes.
The dog was a white pit bull style with a brown spot in the middle of its back and a brown backside.
The e-bike, which police say is the victim's main source of transportation, is a yellow Fucare Libra full suspension 750W electric bike with a custom seat with a camera and light on the back, and sticker on the front down tube.
