5 Injured in Car Attack in Germany

Five people were injured after a man allegedly rammed his car into a group of pedestrians in Passau, southern Germany, on Saturday.
The 48-year-old Iraqi national, believed to be in a custody dispute with his estranged wife, has been charged with attempted manslaughter, according to police.
The incident occurred near the city's main train station around 3:30 p.m. local time. Among the injured were the suspect's 40-year-old wife and their 5-year-old daughter.
Three victims, including the child, have since been released from the hospital, while the remaining two are still under medical care, though their injuries are not life-threatening.
Authorities swiftly
detained
the man at the scene following reports from witnesses. He has been transferred to a correctional facility after a magistrate issued an arrest warrant.
The investigation is being led by the Passau Criminal Police and the Public Prosecutor's Office.
