79-year-old dead after crash in Rockbridge County on Route 11, one injured
ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Virginia State Police (VSP) is investigating a fatal two-vehicle accident that occurred on Saturday on Route 11 in Rockbridge County.
On March 1 at approximately 11:20 a.m., a collision occurred at the intersection of Pine Forest Road.
A 2005 Toyota 4-Runner did not yield to the right of way when turning onto Route 11 from a stop sign on Pine Forest Road. The Toyota was hit by a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 that was traveling south on Route 11.
Seven wanted for violent charges in Lynchburg arrested in 'warrant roundup'
79-year-old Patricia Ann Bane of Lexington, Va., was identified as the driver of the Toyota. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Ms. Bane died at the scene.
The 40-year-old driver of the Ram was transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries. He was not wearing his seatbelt.
No charges are pending and the crash remains under investigation.
