It's Miller's time, Cards in Class 2 title game
OZARK, Mo–The Missouri state high school baseball championships are underway.
In Class 2, the Miller Cardinals represented the ozarks against Chaffee.
The Red Devils are from near Cape Girardeau.
And Chaffee has been to the final four for three straight years now.
The is Miller's first time back to the final four since 1996.
And the Cardinals were ready.
On the hill, Jase Wilkinson, a southpaw sophomore who was super.
He would strike out Kamden Little to get things going in the first inning.
Chaffee was playing some great defense.
Here Miller tries to bunt, but Mason Vaughn makes the diving catch for the first out.
Then throws to first to complete the twin killing.
We're still scoreless.
Miller's Wilkinson was throwing b-b's, here he gets another strikeout.
The lefty goes five and one third with six strikeouts.
The Cards get on the board in the sixth, Colton brown with the bunt, bad throw to first, allows Jarod Lung to score it's 1-0.
Then the pitcher Wilkinson singles to left, that scores Paul Nunez and Brown, and Miller wins 3-1.
Miller plays Eugene for the Class 2 championship Tuesday at 1p.m.
