Kunal Jaisingh on World Environment Day says, 'Our consistent small steps can lead to big changes'

On World Environment Day, actor Kunal Jaisingh urges everyone to embrace environmental responsibility. He emphasises simple actions like planting trees and aiding stray animals. On the occasion of World Environment Day today, actor Kunal Jaisingh—known for shows like Ishqbaaz, Pavitra Bhagya, and Durga Aur Charu—highlights the urgent need for personal and collective responsibility toward the environment. 'I feel we need to add planting trees, finding homes for strays, and helping them to our to-do list,' says Kunal. 'These small actions can bring peace, happiness, and create a positive impact on our environment.' Addressing the pressing issue of plastic usage, Kunal says, 'Plastic makes life easy in the short term—be it water bottles or bags—but it's welcoming a dangerous tomorrow. Its impact on climate, biodiversity, and human health is massive. Thankfully, people are beginning to take notice.' The actor also shared his efforts he is making to bring change, he says, 'I try to reduce plastic use as much as I can. If I do end up using it, I make sure to recycle it multiple times. I also love planting oxygen-rich plants at home—they grow well even with minimal care and are great for health and the environment.' He stresses that while dedicated days like World Environment Day help initiate conversations, 'We shouldn't forget the message the next day. It's a year-round responsibility. Our consistent small steps can lead to big changes. We also need to educate those around us who may not yet understand the urgency.'
