March 7 ABQ Artwalk – For this edition, ABQ Artwalk will be hosting new art exhibits, group shows, markets, and performances. The event is from 5 to 9 p.m.
March 7-8 The Show – Albuquerque's longest-running comedy show happens every Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12.
March 8 The Price is Right Live – Visit the Route 66 Casino Hotel for a live stage show of The Price is Right starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are available online.
March 8-9 International Women's Weekender – Get ready for a weekend full of movement, empowerment, and incredible energy. Join Peace Love Space for an unforgettable experience featuring world-class instructors, diverse dance styles, and a community of powerful women celebrating their love for dance.
March 8-9 Mommy's Market – Thousands of gently used maternity, baby, and kids in one place for one weekend. Starting at 9 a.m. on both days, admission is $1.
March 8-9 Expo New Mexico Flea Market – Come check out the food, vendors, and live entertainment at New Mexico's largest open-air market. The market runs from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is $2 for walk-ups and $10 per car for parking.
March 9 Rhythm in Unity: A Drum Unity Event – Come experience the power of rhythm, connection, and mindfulness. All levels are welcome. Starting at 2 p.m., bring a drum or use one provided.
March 11 Music Bingo – Enjoy food, drinks, and friendly competition at Flock of Moons, every Tuesday at 7 p.m.
March 11 Open Mic Night in Old Town – Calling all singers, comedians, and performers. Join The Taproom in Old Town Albuquerque for an all-night happy hour, discounted appetizers, and some great performances on the patio stage. This event is every Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
March 13 Ancora and Albuquerque Songwriters' Cooperative Open Mic – Every Thursday night is Open Mic at Ancora Cafe and Bakery where music and sound is the focus of the evening. The event is from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
March 7 Fine Art Flea Market – Las Cruces's Downtown First Friday ArtWalk will feature unique and affordable art pieces, handmade crafts, and vintage items. Enjoy live music and delicious food while browsing the various vendors. This free event starts at 5 p.m.
March 7 First Friday – From 4 to 7 p.m. on the first Friday of every month, enjoy pay-what-you-wish extended hours and special activities at The Harwood Museum of Art in Taos.
March 8 Chalk Walk – Join Las Cruces Museum of Art and watch art in progress as local artists work on chalk drawings. Admission is free and there will be additional family activities. The event is from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
March 8 Otero County Farmer's Market – Check out the only year-round farmers market in the area with many local farmers, crafters, bakers, and more exclusively from Otero County. This event occurs every Saturday from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
March 8 Mother-Son Dodgeball Tournament – Visit the Sycamore Park Community Center in Farmington for some friendly competition and an ice cream sundae bar. Tickets are $8 per person, which includes dodgeball, ice cream, and a picture to cherish for years to come. The tournament starts at 10 a.m.
March 8 King of the Hill 2025 – This annual trail race offers 100% trail running at 5k, 10k, and half marathon distances. The races take place in the beautiful and challenging trails of El Cerro de Los Lunas Preserve. The courses feature beautiful views and large elevation changes on the 10k and half marathon courses. March 8-9 Roswell's Premier Cards & Collectibles Show – Come on down to the Roswell Mall for the card & collectibles show on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
March 9 Spring Market Pop-Up – Visit Milton's Brewing in Carlsbad for live music, food, and vendors sharing their craftsmanship and beautiful products. The event is from 2 to 6 p.m.
March 9 Organ Mountain Sunday Market – The newest market in town takes place off Highway 70 in Las Cruces. Come check out weekly vendors, food trucks, retailers, and more for themed markets from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
🔶 Albuquerque community centers host spring break activities for kids – Community centers in Albuquerque are hosting several events for kids on spring break. A total of 18 centers have planned onsite activities and budget-friendly field trips with free lunch and snacks from March 17 to March 21.

🔶 Albuquerque police warn public of uptick in Honda vehicle thefts – The Albuquerque Police Department has sued Hyundai and Kia, accusing the automakers of helping fuel car theft through the city. According to police, another major auto brand is increasingly being targeted.
🔶 High winds impact irrigation ditch clean-up along the Rio Grande – A dry winter is creating a low spring run-off this year, making it tough for farmers. The Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District is saying the wind this week is causing more weather woes and irrigation delays.
🔶 Albuquerque students receive financial literacy lesson – A group of 5th graders from Albuquerque Public Schools got a special lesson this afternoon on money. The lesson focused on instruction on loans, bank accounts, writing checks, and saving money for college.
🔶 Balloon Fiesta will not hold concert this year – No big-name country music artist will be performing at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta this year. For the first time in twelve years, the state's biggest event is putting a pause on the annual Music Fiesta concert.
🔶 Albuquerque City Council passes nuisance property ordinance, guaranteed income initiative – Several measures were approved in Albuquerque City Council Monday night including a way for the city to address nuisance properties. According to the city, the new ordinance gives further definition to acts that make a property considered a nuisance and streamlines the enforcement process.
🔶 ABQ BioPark partnering with Chevron on conservation efforts – The ABQ BioPark has announced a partnership with Chevron to help strengthen conservation efforts for the state's native species. Chevron will now serve as an official conservation partner of the ABQ BioPark, donating $600,000 over the next three years to further projects that protect animals and habitats in New Mexico.
🔶 10 days left to file claims for Hermits Peak Calf Canyon Fire damage – Time is running out for residents and businesses who were affected by the Hermit Peak Calf Canyon Wildfire to submit their claims. March 14 is the last day that FEMA offices will be able to start new claims.
🔶 New Mexico State Police to hold memorial run for fallen officer – New Mexico State Police will honor an officer killed in the line of duty with a memorial run. The inaugural Officer Justin Hare 5K Run/Walk is set for March 15th at Damon Kvols Park in Tucumcari.

🔶 3 New Mexico counties launch behavioral health program – Three New Mexico counties are implementing a new behavioral treatment program seeking to help people who fail to voluntarily get mental health treatment. The Assisted Outpatient Treatment Program is now being used in Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, and Los Alamos counties.
