Bahrain launches AI projects to promote global peace, dialogue
The King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance has launched two groundbreaking AI-driven initiatives — Smart Assistant 1 and Smart Participant 1 — as part of its ongoing efforts to harness technology in promoting peace, dialogue, and sustainable development.
The initiatives were unveiled during the Peace Schools Programme held in Jordan, organised in partnership with the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and in collaboration with Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East (SESAME).
The programme brought together international experts, researchers, and youth to explore innovative ways of advancing coexistence and tolerance through education and technology.
Speaking remotely at the event, Ali Abdulla Al Aradi, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre, highlighted that the development of these smart tools aims to support parliamentary and legislative work.
He noted that this move reflects Bahrain's pioneering commitment to institutionalising the values of tolerance, mutual respect, and civil dialogue on a global scale.
