Actor Tom Hardy has responded to rumors that he will reprise his iconic role in the upcoming film
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.
The British star played Alfie Solomons in the TV series, alongside
Cillian Murphy
's Tommy Shelby and the rest of the Birmingham-based gang. Solomons was the head of a Jewish gang based in Camden Town, north London, and the runner of a distillery disguised as a bakery. When news broke that the beloved series would be returning, this time to the big screen, fans wanted to know whether Hardy would reclaim his role.
However, months
after the announcement that
Murphy would be returning as Tommy Shelby
and Barry Keoghan would play a new character
, there was still no word about Hardy.

In a recent interview with , promoting his new action film Havoc, the actor discussed whether Alfie Solomons might return in
the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie.
Hardy stared blankly into the camera for a long time, causing his Havoc co-star to chuckle and say, 'You can tell me if you want.'
Hardy smiled and held his hands up, replying, 'I can't possibly say.'
A couple of weeks ago, Hardy had the same response when asked about his potential involvement in the film.
'What are you talking about?' he asked a reporter from Buzzfeed who inquired whether he would be in the film. When she noted that 'anything can happen,' Hardy responded, 'Always. At any moment.'
