Community fund launched by Pembrokeshire landfill operator

The Withyhedge landfill site operator, Resource Management Ltd (RML), has launched the fund to support groups and organisations in the area. RML's parent company is Dauson Environmental Group. This initiative forms part of RML's commitment to give back to the community, promising an annual fund of £20,000. Local groups and organisations can apply for up to £2,000 of this fund each year. In addition to this, the fund also welcomes applications for one-off projects or events of a larger nature. More Stories Ben Maizey, sustainability and future generations manager at Dauson Environmental Group, said: "Our RML Pembrokeshire Community Fund is something we have been planning since Dauson took over RML and the Withyhedge site in March 2022." "We want to continue to build local relationships and ensure we play our part in the community." Mr Maizey, who oversees the distribution of community support funds across the entire Dauson Environmental Group, will coordinate the distribution of the RML Pembrokeshire Community Fund. He said: "One of the questions we have been asked by community members and councillors is for more information about when this fund will be up and running. "We are therefore really excited about the launch our RML Pembrokeshire Community Fund as we take our next step in supporting our community and neighbours." In the lead-up to this launch, RML has been actively engaging with the community through visits and meetings. Their aim is to ensure this fund provides a helpful resource to meet community needs. As part of the fund launch, RML is inviting members of the community to apply to join the fund's advisory panel. This panel will play a crucial role in dictating how support is distributed. The fund's advisory panel will work alongside RML to develop the criteria used as a guide for allocating funding. Applications to join the advisory panel close at 4pm on Friday, June 27, 2025. Community members interested in joining the advisory panel can access application information by emailing withyhedge@ Further details about the window for fund applications are expected to be announced soon by RML.
