Potential storms worry deputies amid search for missing teen
PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies are continuing their search Thursday for a teenager who hasn't been seen for more than a week. Glenn Lee Brown, 15, was last seen on May 7 leaving Pennfield High School and walking into a wooded area behind the building. On Monday, the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office requested the public's help finding the teenager, who is described as a white male with blond hair and blue eyes, standing at 5 foot, 11 inches and weighing around 150 pounds. Deputies ask homeowners to look for missing teen Multiple agencies are involved in the search, the sheriff's office said in a Thursday update. As they continue the search, law enforcement officers will be using foot searches, K-9 deployment and drone surveillance. They'll also interviewing witnesses to verify new tips, the sheriff's office said. It said every new lead is being 'investigated thoroughly.' Michigan State Police on Wednesday helped the search with a helicopter. Other search efforts included thermal imaging drones and ground searches, the sheriff's office said. If you see him, the sheriff's office said to call 911. It said he may run, so do not approach or chase him. The public is asked to not organize independent search parties, 'as this can interfere with official efforts and cause confusion,' the sheriff's office said. 'We want to remind the public that Glenn is not considered dangerous, but we are growing increasingly concerned for his well-being due to the length of time he has been missing and the potential for incoming severe weather,' the sheriff's office said in the release.
