It cost £1.20 and was also gluten-free. Customers took to social media to ask Asda where the popular dressing had gone. Writing on X, one person said: "This [Peppercorn Sauce] has been showing as unavailable for a while now, has it actually been discontinued ?". The Sun also reached out to Asda to find out what happened to the savoury sauce. The supermarket confirmed the product was no more, adding that customers could still get their hands on its Exceptional Creamy Three Peppercorn Sauce for £1.58. The news will come as a blow to shoppers, who in the past described it as "delicious and creamy." Other have said it was a "restaurant quality" creation, adding that if they were served this when dining out they would "be more than happy". While a third said: "Surprisingly one of the best I have had". Four simple ways to save money at Asda It is not the first time that Asda has discontinued a product loved by shoppers. Back in January, the supermarket confirmed its OMV hot chocolate range was no longer available. The beverage range was a staple for vegan shoppers, offering indulgent flavors like Cinnamon Hot Choc Pearls & Mallows, Salted Caramel Flavour Hot Choc, and even a festive Cinnamon Hot Chocolate & Gingerbread Mug. Elsewhere, Asda also recently discontinued its Chicken Vindaloo curry. Last year, Asda also confirmed it stopped selling 300g packs of garlic and herb tortelloni. OTHER DISCONTINUED ITEMS Earlier this week, The Sun revealed that Alpen cereal bars have permanently disappeared from supermarket shelves. The snack, usually topped with chocolate or yogurt, has been a staple in many Brits kitchen cupboards since the early noughties. Alpen bars were also loved by many watching what they eat or following a Slimming World or Weight Watchers diet plan, as the treat was low in calories. Alpen's entire cereal bar range, which includes Alpen Light and Alpen Delight has been discontinued. However shoppers can continue to buy it's range of muesli, which costs around £3 from major supermarkets. Cadbury also told us that its Fry Coffee Cream bars are no longer being sold in stores. A spokesperson said: "We continuously adapt our product range to ensure it meets changing tastes whilst supporting growth for our customers and our business. 'Our Fry's Coffee Cream multi-packs were introduced as a limited-edition product in summer 2023 for fans to enjoy while stocks lasted. "They have since been discontinued but we still have plenty of other delicious Fry's products for consumers to choose from, including Fry's Chocolate Cream and Fry's Peppermint Cream Multipacks."
