Fort Myers man accused of violently killing, burying kitten

A Fort Myers man faces animal cruelty charges after authorities say he violently threw a kitten to the ground, killing the feline. Alfonso Alexander Perez Nas, 24, faces one count of aggravated animal cruelty. According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Perez Nas buried the kitten in the backyard. Have you seen him? Authorities spoke with several witnesses, who explained they watched Perez Nas drink alcohol and violently throw the kitten. According to the sheriff's office, the kitten cried and died on impact. Authorities said Perez Nas then held the kitten to the sky and said he was going to put on some music and kill more cats. A graphic video shared by the sheriff's office to their Facebook page appears to show Perez Nas holding the kitten by its neck with his left hand while he holds a shovel in his right hand. After authorities received approval for a search warrant, they exhumed the kitten from the backyard. Perez Nas' arraignment is June 9.
