Alexandria man faces felony charges for armed road rage incidents, state police say

ALEXANDRIA, Va. () — An Alexandria man accused of being involved in several armed road rage incidents in Maryland is now facing felony charges, the Maryland State Police (MSP) announced Tuesday. Perry Ellis Barmore, 34, was charged in connection with a firearm brandishing and shooting–unrelated incidents that happened in February of this year and August 2024. On Feb. 25, MSP troopers responded to the Outer Loop of I-495, near the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. The victim told police that Barmore, driving a gray Jeep, pointed a gun at them during a road rage incident. The other driver was not hurt. Department of Education to resume collections on defaulted student loans Troopers were able to identify Barmore as the suspect and found a loaded handgun after a search of his home. He was charged with felony use of a firearm and second-degree assault before being released to home detention on March 14. Further investigation linked him to another alleged road rage incident on Aug. 24, 2024. In the area of Rt. 202, a victim told police that a driver of a gray Jeep shot at him after a road rage incident. That victim was also not hurt.
