Rock band announced for NYS Fair
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Mark your calendars, another concert has been added to this year's New York State Fair lineup. Another concert announced for 2025 New York State Fair O.A.R., short for Of a Revolution will be at Suburban Park on Saturday, Aug. 23 at 8 p.m. The group is known for its songs like 'Shattered (Turn The Car Around),' 'Peace' 'Love And Memories,' 'That Was A Crazy Game of Poker,' and more. 'O.A.R. is a huge part of the soundtrack of an entire generation,' said Julie LaFave, Fair Director. According to the Fair, O.A.R. released back-to-back albums to be included in the Billboard Top 200 chart, including 'King,' which debuted at No. 12 and 'The Rockville LP,' which reached No. 13 on the Billboard Top 200 and vaulted to the top overall spot on the Billboard's Independent Album Chart. The band recently released its 10th studio album. O.A.R. continues to sell out live shows across the country and has also released six live albums from various shows. The Fair starts Wednesday, Aug. 20, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1. Herman's Hermits to return to NYS Fair for the 15th year straight
GEDDES, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Great New York State Fair has announced its second concert for the 2025 season. This fan favorite will take the stage at the fair for the 15th consecutive year. The NYS Fair has announced Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone will play their hits on Chevy Court on Tuesday, August 26. 'Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone has been a staple at The Fair for nearly two decades because of their incredible ability to light up the stage and connect with audiences of all ages,' said Fair Director Julie LaFave. 'Their music has withstood the test of time and they've drawn thousands of fans to Chevy Court every year. Since their debut in the early 1960s, the group has produced 14 hit singles, seven gold albums, and sold over 52 million recordings. We're so excited to have them back for another year and think that fairgoers will feel the same way,' said LaFave. Herman's Hermits will take the Stage at 1 p.m. on Aug. 26.
