Police seeking tips after theft at dealership in Livingston Co.
FAIRBURY, Ill. (WCIA) — Police in Fairbury are searching for two stolen cars, after four suspects broke into a dealership on Friday.
The Fairbury Police Department said that around 2 a.m. four suspects arrived at the Petersen Chevrolet dealership in a Camaro. Police said they believe the Camaro they arrived in was stolen.

After several times through the lot, the suspects broke a small window in the front of the building to get inside.
Police were told that a white 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 with a black convertible top, and red accents on a black interior was stolen from the showroom floor. And, surveillance indicates that the suspects drove the stolen vehicle through the showroom door.
The suspects also tried to steal another Camaro from the lot, but were unsuccessful. The four suspects drove away around 2:30 a.m. and headed west on US24. The suspects were wearing jackets with hoods, masks and gloves, and a blue surgical mask was left at the scene.
Police added that when the suspects first drove through the lot, their vehicle appeared to have a rear registration plate. But after leaving, neither vehicle had a registration plate.
