1. Aram Bagh
Walk into the past at Aram Bagh, India's oldest Persian-style garden. Constructed by Emperor Babur in 1528, this peaceful haven was planned according to the Islamic idea of Paradise, or "Jannat." Legend has it that Akbar asked his third wife to marry him here. The entry cost is 20 rupees for Indians and 210 rupees for foreigners.
2. Itimad-ud-Daulah's Tomb
Also called the "Baby Taj," this beautiful marble tomb was constructed by Nur Jahan for her father, Mizra Ghiyas Beg, in the early 17th century. A draft of the Taj Mahal, it reflects Persian architecture. The building is smaller but no less captivating. The entry cost is 10 rupees for Indians and 210 rupees for foreigners.
3. Gyarah Sidi
Close to Mehtab Bagh, there are 11 stairs with no adjoining structure. Some people believe they were a sundial used to measure time according to the movement of the sun.
Although history has not shown where they originated, the 11 Siriya make for an unusual and interesting photo stop. The entry here is free.
4. Mehtab Bagh
For the most amazing sunset view of the Taj Mahal, visit Mehtab Bagh. This 25-acre Mughal garden made by Babur is also referred to as Moonlight Garden. It is wrongly called the Black Taj that Shah Jahan was supposed to make for himself. The entry cost is 25 rupees for Indians and 300 rupees for foreigners.

5. Sikandra
Sikandra contains Emperor Akbar's magnificent tomb. It is a gigantic red sandstone and white marble structure designed by Akbar himself. The tomb of Mariyam Zamani, Akbar's wife, and daughters is also present here. The entry cost is 15 rupees for Indians and 110 rupees for foreigners.
6. Roman Catholic Cemetery
The 17th-century cemetery has a hidden gem, a mini red-sandstone Taj Mahal, constructed by Anne Hessing in honor of her husband, John Hessing, a Dutch soldier.

7. Dashrath and Hathi Ghats
Start your day early at Dashrath Ghat or Hathi Ghat if you're an early bird. It's a place on the Yamuna River where one can witness the sunrise over the Taj Mahal, mirrored in the calm waters.
