It's been a few days since the couple confirmed their split publicly which has caused a controversial discourse online from fans and social media users. Stephanie, in a recent Instagram video captioned 'Thanks' spoke out not necessarily about her and Hungani, but expressing her concern over the distasteful accusations and comments being directed at her friend, Petronella, whom she says has gone 'AWOL' on social media due to the hate she's been receiving. Stephanie further emphasised that while she can tolerate the negative comments about herself, she finds it unfair that her friend is being dragged into the situation. 'In the last few days or weeks, I've endured a level of bullying that I've never experienced in my life. I've been dragged, told the kind of mother I am, the kind of wife I was, and the kind of Christian I am,' she said. She added that while her strategy is always to 'block, close the comments section and delete,' she's now found herself having to defend her friend. 'It's unfair and hurtful for Petronella to deal with something she has no involvement in over a decision Hungani and I made. You guys have attacked her character, her as a person, and as a mother and I don't think it's fair. I don't think it's even fair for her having to stay away from social media due to this, so please stop,' she stressed. Furthermore, she called out the media outlets that have assassinated her friend's character and urged them to stop. Many fans have sympathised with her and sent her warm messages and love in the comments section including Hungani commenting 'well said' with a hugging and red heart emojis and has since shared the video on his Instagram story.
