Masters gnomes continue to be hot item
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WSAV) — The Masters are known for selling iconic merchandise worn by patrons primarily in the form of clothes.
However, in recent years, collectible gnomes have become one of the hottest items at the gift shop.
The gnomes were introduced in 2016, the first version wearing an argyle cardigan.
The gnomes became a hit in the Masters Golf Shop with patrons lining up yearly to to snag the coveted item. Buyers have to act fast because in recent years the gnomes been one of the many items to sell out.
First-time Masters patron Phil Irvine said he couldn't pass on the opportunity to buy a gnome.
'I got plenty of hats and shirts too,' said Irvine. 'But the gnome is iconic with The Masters, so I had to get one.'
Practice rounds continue on Tuesday. The first round of the 2025 Masters starts Thursday.
