3 men accused of trying to buy sex from children in Larimer County

DENVER (KDVR) — Three men were arrested and are accused of trying to buy sex from children, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office announced Friday. According to a press release, investigators conducted an operation targeting child predators earlier this week, posing as minors selling sexual acts on local websites and forums. FOX31 Newsletters: Sign up to get breaking news sent to your inbox The sheriff's office said that over 100 people responded to the listings, including three men who showed up to buy sex at an agreed-upon location. They were instead arrested and booked into the Larimer County Jail, each on a $30,000 cash/surety bond issued by the Larimer County Court. The sheriff's office identified the suspects and listed the charges they face. Philip Robert Christensen, a 42-year-old from Wellington, faces charges of: Soliciting a Child Prostitute (F3) Internet Luring of a Child (F4) Cybercrime – Soliciting to Arrange a Minor Prostitute (F5) Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child (F5) Vatsal Gupta, 34, of Windsor, faces the following charges: Soliciting a Child Prostitute (F3) Internet Luring of a Child (F4) Cybercrime – Soliciting to Arrange a Minor Prostitute (F5) Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child (F5) Jose Urritia, a 24-year-old from Grand Junction, faces the following charges: Soliciting a Child Prostitute (F3) Internet Luring of a Child (F4) Cybercrime – Soliciting to Arrange a Minor Prostitute (F5) Attempted Sexual Assault on a Child (F5) 'Trying to buy sex from a prostituted child is inexcusable,' Larimer County Sheriff John Feyen said in the release. 'These operations shine a light on the depravity that exists – even in safe communities like ours. Our investigators will continue working to stop predators from harming our children.'
