Australian actress Phoebe Tonkin hosts star-studded, multi-day wedding in New York

Phoebe Tonkin appeared to host a glamorous wedding in New York attended by a bevy of Aussie names and international stars over the weekend. The Australian actress, 35, is understood to have wed her fiance Bernard Lagrange on Sunday, with Margot Robbie, Lara Worthington, Samara Weaving, Teresa Palmer, Eiza González, Claire Holt and Nina Dobrev among the high-profile guests. Celeb attendees have posted dozens of photos from the festivities on Instagram, with several outfit changes indicating a multi-day extravaganza took place ahead of the ceremony. Tonkin, who shot to fame on H2O: Just Add Water and The CW's Vampire Diaries, could be seen sporting at least two outfits over the weekend, including a white slip gown and a chic newspaper-clipping patterned dress. Robbie, 34, who recently returned to Australia with her newborn son over Easter weekend, wore a chic red mini-dress, as she was seen walking the streets of NYC alongside a suit-clad Worthington, 37. The Barbie actress was also joined by her husband of nine years, Tom Acklerley. While Tonkin is yet to officially confirm the nuptials, model and actress Maya Ford shared a photo of the couple with the words 'happily ever after' written in the caption. 'What a weekend celebrating this angel! @phoebetonkin', Ford added. Tonkin revealed her engagement news on Instagram in October, sharing several photos of herself and LaGrange, a prominent art adviser, on holiday in Europe, with her large engagement ring impossible to miss. 'film back from the summer or love,' Tonkin wrote in the caption. The post also marked Tonkin and LaGrange's social media debut, with the Aussie actress previously thought to have been single. Little is known about LaGrange, though it's understood he works at Sotheby's, a global fine-arts company with locations all over the world. Tonkin, who grew up in Mosman, Sydney, was previously in a relationship with her Vampire Diaries co-star Paul Wesley for four years until their split in 2017. Wesley went on to marry Ines de Ramon, the current girlfriend of Brad Pitt, in 2019. They announced their separation in 2022.

Phoebe Tonkin ties the knot in chic wedding with fiancé Bernard Lagrange - as Aussie stars Margot Robbie, Samara Weaving and Lara Worthington reunite to celebrate the occasion

Phoebe Tonkin has married her fiancé Bernard Lagrange in a low-key but very chic ceremony. The Australian actress, 35, and her art dealer beau just announced their engagement in October 2024 after keeping their relationship completely under wraps. Now, images have emerged on Instagram from fellow Aussie stars which show the happy couple tying the knot following a celebratory dinner/hen's night. Phoebe appeared to have a pre-wedding celebration on Friday, reuniting with Down Under personalities such as Margot Robbie, Sam Weaving and Lara Worthington. Australians Teresa Palmer, Bella Heathcote, Jessica McNamee and Ilona Hamer also made their way onto the guest list for the two-night celebration. It seems the official wedding then took place on Saturday in New York City. Photos of the occasion saw Australia's golden girls glammed up in designer outfits as they enjoyed the festivities which were filled with laughs and flowing with drinks. Other high-profile guests included Annabelle Wallis, Maya Ford, Nesta Cooper and Eiza González, who could all be seen sitting around a table at the venue. Meanwhile, the bride of the hour rocked two very chic looks for her big day. During the pre-wedding dinner with her gal pals, the Vampire Diaries star flaunted her figure in a newsprint gown, which was akin to Carrie Bradshaw's 1998 Dior number. She later changed into a sequined white dress with floral detailing for her nuptials, while Bernard opted for a classic black suit. One happy photo of the couple, taken by actress Maya, saw Phoebe and Bernard posing together in a vintage photo booth. 'Happily ever after,' said one caption, while another said: 'What a weekend celebrating this angel.' Eiza also posted several behind-the-scenes photos which gave another glimpse of the star-studded guest list, which also included Nina Dobrev and Claire Holt. Australian model Lara, 37, also shared a number of pictures which showed off her avant garde dress for the evening. The Dilara Findikoglu creation featured sheer black material over a white lace gown worth about AUD$4,363. While Phoebe has yet to make her own posts announcing the wedding, English actress Annabelle, 40, confirmed the momentous occasion on her Stories. 'NYC wedding with these beauties,' she captioned an image of herself, Margot, 34, Lara, and 35-year-old Mexican actress Eiza. Phoebe and Bernard announced their surprise engagement with a loved up post to Instagram in October. In one image, the Boy Swallows Universe star wore a white dress as she sat on Bernard's lap and wrapped her arms around him as they shared a kiss. Her stunning oval diamond engagement ring was on full display during the intimate moment. Phoebe also posted another photo as she gently touched Bernard's face in a car and revealed her new ring. 'Film back from the summer of love. Special first photo by my friend @mark_bauch,' she captioned the images. Little is known about Bernard, but he is believed to be an art dealer. Prior to her romance with Bernard, Phoebe was linked to American rocker Alex Greenwald. She confirmed their romance on Instagram in 2020 by sharing a picture of the pair kissing while wearing face masks. It's unclear when the relationship ended. Phoebe also previously dated Paul Wesley but they split in 2017 after four years together. Speaking to InStyle Australia magazine in 2019, the actress opened up about how she overcame the breakup with her Vampire Diaries co-star. Phoebe revealed she decided to start working behind the camera and directed her first short film Furlough. 'There's a lot of change, but it's good change,' she told the publication. 'I'd gone through a breakup last year and I wanted to branch out and explore other things and [Furlough] felt like the perfect opportunity to do that,' she added. Phoebe said director Mark Webber and his Aussie actor wife Teresa, 39, who was at the wedding, inspired her to work.
