Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Police Commissionerate has announced a detailed traffic and crowd management plan ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), scheduled for Monday, May 27 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. The match is set to begin at 7:30 PM, and the advisory will remain in effect until midnight. — lkopolice (@lkopolice) Vehicle restrictions and route diversions To manage the influx of spectators and ensure smooth traffic flow, the movement of commercial vehicles including buses and trucks will be prohibited on Shaheed Path and surrounding roads during the match hours. Vehicles approaching from Sultanpur Road will be diverted at Amalut Tiraha and not allowed to proceed toward the stadium. All diverted vehicles must adhere strictly to the assigned routes. Public transport adjustments Selected city buses will be operational on Shaheed Path, restricted to the right lanes between Humsafar and Sushant Golf City, with no stops near the stadium. Auto-rickshaws and e-rickshaws are completely barred from Shaheed Path. Those approaching from PGI/Arjunganj side must drop passengers at Ahimamau, while those from the Sultanpur side should turn back near PGI or Lulu Mall, depending on approach direction. Passenger drop-offs within 500 meters of the stadium are not allowed. Private vehicles and cab guidelines App-based cabs (Ola, Uber, etc.) will be permitted only up to Ahimamau or PGI. They must exit the area immediately after drop-off. Private vehicles with valid entry passes can reach the designated parking near the water tank via Ahimamau. Those without passes must park at Phoenix Mall, which serves as the primary public parking location. If full, overflow parking will be arranged between the water tank and stadium areas. Two-wheelers must be parked behind Phoenix Mall, and will not be allowed in the restricted zone. Entry rules and ticket protocols Stadium entry gates will open three hours prior to the match start, and no entry will be permitted after the second innings begins. Only original tickets with QR codes or valid mobile tickets will be accepted at gates. There will be no ticket sales at the stadium on match day. Spectators are urged to arrive before 6:00 PM to avoid anticipated traffic congestion between 6 and 8 PM. Security measures and prohibited items Items such as cigarettes, lighters, hookahs, flammable materials, and weapons are strictly banned inside the stadium. Any unauthorized parking near Ekana Stadium or Phoenix Mall will result in vehicle towing and fines. Only spectators with valid tickets or credentials will be allowed access. Authorities have warned that violations of ticketing or traffic rules will be considered punishable offenses under relevant laws. Security personnel have been deployed in strength, and the public is requested to cooperate fully.

NEW DELHI: Lucknow Police Commissionerate has issued a detailed traffic advisory ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) scheduled for Friday, May 23, 2025. The match will be held at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, with play beginning at 7.30pm. To ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety, traffic restrictions and diversions will be in place from 3pm until midnight. — lkopolice (@lkopolice) Vehicle restrictions and diversions: As per the advisory, the movement of roadways and commercial vehicles will be restricted across city routes during match hours. VIP/VVIP movement and security measures Vehicles carrying VIPs or VVIPs will be allowed to drop off at the stadium but must exit immediately via designated routes toward Lulu Mall or PGI. No parking will be permitted around the stadium premises. Any unauthorized parking near the stadium or Phoenix Mall will lead to vehicles being towed and penalties being imposed. Entry will only be permitted to individuals carrying valid match tickets or accreditation passes. Entry protocol and ticket guidelines Entry gates will open three hours before the match, and no entry will be allowed after the midpoint of the second innings. Re-entry to the stadium is strictly prohibited once someone exits. Only original tickets with QR codes or valid mobile entries will be accepted. Photocopies or counterfeit tickets will be rejected. There will be no ticket sales at the venue on match day. Spectators have been advised to arrive by 6pm to avoid traffic congestion expected between 6pm and 8pm. Prohibited items As per IPL and security guidelines, items such as cigarettes, hookahs, lighters, and other flammable materials will not be allowed inside the venue. Individuals without proper identification or valid tickets will be denied entry, and violators may face legal action.
