How to find your DIGIPIN code online using your phone's location in seconds
The Indian government has introduced DIGIPIN, a digital address system designed to improve location identification across the country. This system aims to enhance services like last-mile delivery for companies such as Amazon and Flipkart, and it could support emergency services, including police, ambulance, and fire departments by offering precise geographic data. DIGIPIN offers a secure and efficient way for citizens and various entities to get accurate location details. It operates as an open-source, interoperable, geo-coded, and grid-based digital address system. It addresses challenges in areas where traditional addresses are unclear, such as rural regions, forests, and coastal zones. This includes urban and rural locations as well as maritime zones. The system complements the existing six-digit postal PIN codes by adding a more exact layer of address information. The technology behind DIGIPIN was developed by the Department of Posts, working with the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad and the National Remote Sensing Centre, which is part of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Similarly, you can find coordinates by entering a DIGIPIN code. This functionality supports both residential and commercial users needing accurate location information. Adobe Photoshop Beta Now Available for Android Phones and Tablets
After much anticipation, Adobe has officially launched the Photoshop Beta app for Android, giving users access to powerful photo editing tools right on their smartphones and tablets. This release follows the earlier rollout for iPhones in February 2025 and is now set to transform the Android editing experience with a host of professional-grade features. The delay in launching on Android was mainly due to the platform's highly fragmented ecosystem. With thousands of device types varying in screen sizes, specs, and performance capabilities, Adobe needed additional time to optimize the app for a consistent and smooth experience across the board. The Photoshop Beta app comes with full support for both Android phones and tablets—marking a notable shift in Adobe's mobile strategy, which had previously offered limited tablet compatibility. To run the app, devices must have Android 11 or later and at least 6GB of RAM, though 8GB is recommended for optimal performance. Key features of the Android version closely mirror the desktop software, including: Layer and masking support, enabling complex edits with multiple elements AI-powered tools via Adobe Firefly, such as Generative Fill to add or remove elements using text prompts Precision selection tools for isolating parts of an image Classic brushes like Spot Healing and Clone Stamp Adjustment layers and blend modes for advanced colour correction and creative effects Access to Adobe Stock assets, offering a wide range of free images and design elements These tools bring a professional-level editing experience to Android users, ideal for creators who need to work on the go. What sets the Android release apart during this beta phase is free access to nearly all tools and stock assets, unlike the iPhone version, which required a subscription from day one. However, Adobe has stated that a subscription model will be introduced once the beta testing period concludes. With this release, Adobe is clearly aiming to level the playing field between iOS and Android users, delivering a robust mobile editing experience backed by powerful AI.

Adobe launches the Photoshop Beta app for Android: Everything you need to know
After months of waiting, Android users can finally get their hands on Adobe Photoshop. Adobe has officially launched the Photoshop Beta app for Android smartphones and tablets, offering a robust set of features including AI-powered tools and access to Adobe Stock. The app mirrors many of the capabilities from the desktop version, allowing users to create, edit, and retouch images on the go. Best of all, during the beta phase, most tools are free to use. Why the delay for Android? Adobe released the Photoshop iPhone app in February 2025, and its absence on Android had left many users wondering why. The main reason behind the delay appears to be Android's fragmented ecosystem—a wide variety of screen sizes, resolutions, and hardware configurations makes it far more complex to optimise than Apple's tightly controlled environment. This complexity required extra development time to ensure consistent performance across devices. Tablet support at last In a welcome change, the Photoshop Beta app supports both Android smartphones and tablets. Previous Adobe mobile apps offered limited or no support for Android tablets, but this release aims to change that. To run the app, your device must be running Android 11 or newer and have at least 6GB of RAM. Adobe recommends 8GB RAM or more for best performance. Key Features of Photoshop Beta for Android The Android version packs in several core Photoshop tools, many of which are powered by Adobe Firefly AI: Layers and masking: Allows users to stack and manage multiple image elements just like on a desktop. These features bring a desktop-like editing experience to mobile, making professional-level photo editing more accessible than ever on Android. Pricing and availability Currently, the Photoshop Beta app is completely free, including access to Adobe Stock assets. This generous access is a marked contrast to the iPhone version, which requires a subscription from the outset. However, Adobe has confirmed that once the beta period ends, a subscription model will likely be introduced for Android users, mirroring the pricing on iOS. First Published Date: 05 Jun, 15:48 IST
