Pickle beer and pickle contest returning for 2025 Picklefest
MAXWELTON, (WBOY) — Pickle enthusiasts will be happy to know that Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company (GVBC) is bringing back its free 'Pickelfest' for another year, with live music, a pickle contest, and, of course, an exclusive pickle-flavored beer. When: Sunday, April 27 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Where: Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company in Maxwelton, According to a press release from GVBC, live bands for this year's event include: Been Fishin' from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Herb & Hanson from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Los Swamp Monsters from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. GVBC will also be serving its 'Pickleback Sour' beer, which is 'barrel-aged in Smooth Ambler Contradiction Barrels,' and craft cocktails from Smooth Ambler will also be available. Food for the event will be served by The Hanger, Kitchen 304 and Aunt Beckies Kitchen. 'Last year was an overwhelming success so we decided to make this a yearly Community Event featuring local Music, Food, Art, and of course Beer,' a release from the brewery said.
