Evidence appears of multiple shooters involved in Davis shooting on Saturday
( — After the Davis Police Department examined the evidence of the shooting, they said it indicated that there was more than one shooter involved in the incident.
DPD stated that they are investigating after three people were shot at the Community Park in Davis on Saturday afternoon.
According to DPD, the incident happened on the 200 block of East 14th Street around 2:58 p.m. on Saturday. The area was filled with a large gathering at the park as UC Davis' annual Picnic Day Event was taking place.
On April 17, DPD said that detectives have reviewed several witness statements and tips to describe one of the shooters as a black man, who is between the ages of 20-25 years old, under 6 feet tall with an average build.

Authorities said he was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, black pants, and a face mask. Additional information gathered also showed that this incident involved subjects who live outside the Davis community.
DPD stated the investigation team assigned to the case will continue to use its resources, which include getting assistance from its partner agencies, to follow up on leads and continue to seek the community's help.
