Major update for hit-show Industry as Marisa Abela wins BAFTA's Leading Actress

Following her first BAFTA win for Best Leading Actress, Industry's Marisa Abela teased some news about the upcoming season of the series - and it's an exciting one Marisa Abela has been awarded with the Best Leading Actress award at the BAFTA Awards 2025, as reflected by her outstanding performance as the ruthless investment banker, Yasmin Kara-Hanani, in the popular series, Industry. The British actress gained attention in the BBC Two/HBO drama series, which follows a group of young university graduates who are competing for permanent positions at Pierpoint & Co, which is a prestigious investment bank in London. ‌ Industry premiered in 2020 in the US and the UK, with a second season confirmed a month later due to its success. The third season of the series premiered in August 2024, and a fourth one has been renewed. ‌ Marisa was competing for the award against well-known figures, including: Anna Maxwell Martin (Until I Kill You), Billie Piper (Scoop), Lola Patticrew (Say Nothing), Monica Dolan (Mr Bates vs The Post Office), and Sharon D Clarke (Mr Loverman). Whilst accepting her prestigious award, the 28-year-old actress revealed that the team had already begun filming the new season, saying: 'Season three felt like a massive step up for the show, and I feel like that is continuing and continuing. So I am excited to see the response season four gets, which we are filming right now.' The actress portrays a wealthy graduate that's fluent in six languages, including English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Arabic. Her character is assigned to the Foreign Exchange Sales (FX) desk at Pierpoint. In an interview with The Guardian, Marissa told them: "This season does feel different, but in an exciting way. People responded to the Industry spreading its wings in season three and having greater ambitions.' 'And I think that's even more true of season four,' she added. Marisa also explained that the upcoming season is bound to have a dramatic finale, with the usual family and romance drama. ‌ Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, the creators and writers of the series expressed their excitement on the new season, saying: 'Can't wait to dive deeper and deliver the best season yet in season 4.' When is season four of Industry coming out? Although there isn't any more information about the new season, reports have revealed that production began in March, with chances of the new season coming out in 2026. As reported by Variety, Industry has expanded its cast. New faces include Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Jack Farthing (Rain Dogs), Toheeb Jimoh (Ted Lesso), and Amy James-Kelly (Three Families). While these actors will make their debut in the series, there will also be the return of some well-loved actors, including Myha'la, Marisa Abela, Ken Leung, Sagar Radia, Kit Harington, and Miriam Petche. SPOILER ALERT: The final episode of season three had a lot of turbulent and heart-warming moments. For example, Sir Henry Muck and Yasmin's wedding plans are being the hot topic of conversation amongst the group (and the city). But until the new season is out, fans will have to wait patiently to see what's next.
