Makkah Route Initiative Wraps Up, Facilitates Hajj Travel For Over 314,000 Pilgrims
MUZDALIFAH (Saudi Arabia), June 6 (Bernama-SPA) -- The Makkah Route Initiative, one of the Saudi Interior Ministry's flagship efforts under the Pilgrims Experience Programme of Saudi Vision 2030, has successfully concluded its operations for this year's Hajj season, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The initiative operated from 12 airports across eight countries: Morocco, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkiye, Côte d'Ivoire, and—participating for the first time—the Maldives. All beneficiaries have now arrived in the Kingdom.
Implemented by the Interior Ministry in cooperation with various partner entities, the Makkah Route Initiative served a total of 314,337 pilgrims.
