Florence friends split $713K lottery win
FLORENCE, S.C. (WBTW) — A pair of Florence friends decided the best way to celebrate a lottery win was to share it with each other. One of the friends, who bought the Palmetto Cash 5 ticket, told South Carolina Lottery Officials that they were, 'yelling and screaming,' while their friend had a much calmer response to the $713,000 win. The winning ticket marched all give numbers drawn on March 25. 'It was an exciting time for us,' the winner said after buying the ticket at the Pilot Travel Center on N. Williston Road in Florence. 'A lot of fun.' The friends said that their plan for the prize money is to share their good fortune with family. The Pilot Travel Center received a commission of $7,130 for selling the claimed ticket.
