Batteries cause electrical fire on a boat in Wisconsin

PINE LAKE, Wis. (WFRV) – A boat caught on fire near a garage at a Wisconsin home Sunday afternoon reportedly due to its batteries, officials said. According to a post from the Pine Lake Fire Rescue, crews responded to a home on Royalwood Lane for reports of a boat on fire near an attached garage. 'Avoid all burning': Wisconsin DNR warns of extreme fire danger in 19 counties on Mother's Day The boat owner told officials that the boat's batteries had started an electrical fire that he was able to knock down with a couple of dry chemical extinguishers. Firefighters finished extinguishing what was left of the smoldering fire and removed the batteries from the boat. There were no reports of any injuries or any estimated damages. A Facebook post from the Pine Lake Fire Rescue states that crews responded to an RV fire just before 8 p.m. on Thursday at a residence on County C. It was noted in the release that the person at the residence allegedly admitted to starting the fire as a means to 'get rid of' it. PINE LAKE, Wis. (WFRV) – First responders were at the scene of a crash between a FedEx truck and a semi on snowy northern Wisconsin roads for nearly two hours on Friday morning. A Facebook post from Pine Lake Fire Rescue shows pictures of the crash that happened on a curve on Spider Lake Road near Silver Lake Road just before 10 a.m. on February 21. Firefighters were initially called to the scene of the crash between a semi and a FedEx truck, they stated that both drivers reported no injuries.
