That includes Joplin grocery stores featuring international products, like the Pineda Market.
Owner Christopher Pineda says that impact is limited to certain items for now but expects that could expand before conditions level out. Other stores like Fox Farm Food say they're preparing for changes but have not seen any yet.
'We have not, as of yet, we expect that to change, of course, but we're just going to try to weather the storm. Just try to, you know, keep prices the same through it all. Hopefully it will balance out, get fixed,' said Tim Spry, Fox Farm Store Mgr.
'Some products that come straight from Mexico, or like the dairy or meat, or like hand sausages that come like specific brands come straight from Mexico. Yeah, the price has been up, like, a little bit, like, 3%,' said Christopher Pineda, Pineda Market Owner.
