AFR responds to injured hiker at Elena Gallegos Open Space
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Fire Rescue helped an injured hiker who was one mile up the Pino Trail at the Elena Gallegos Open Space on Monday.
The hiker sustained a leg injury and was unable to hike out. Crews hiked in, located the injured hiker, and transported them via a wheeled Stokes basket around 6 p.m.
The hiker chose not to be transported to the hospital by ambulance.
