Pitt County's history shared during ‘Gathering Voices' project
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — In an effort to educate and preserve the history of Pitt County, the Pitt County Human Relations Commission and the ECU Academic Library are partnering on the 'Gathering Voices' project. The project is a series of public listening sessions across Pitt County, where members of the community tell stories and revisit the county's history. One of the project's hearings were in Ayden on Tuesday night. While Greenville takes a lot of attention in Pitt County, Gathering Voices aims to show that small towns like Ayden, Winterville, and others are the foundation of what the county is today. Farmville Police Department investigating potential crime scene

New Little League Softball World Series logo unveiled
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The official logos for the Little League World Series tournaments have been released. 'The Little League World Series and each of the respective baseball and softball region tournaments are such an iconic piece of our program each year, and we are excited that this year's logos help tell the story about the unique experience that is felt by thousands of children each summer,' Little League Creative Director Amanda Cropper-Rose said. 'From subtle architectural tributes to the wordmarks and colors that help define our brand, the 2025 logos are a way for our events to help bring the World Series to life in a fun and modern way.'
