Bollywood Wives' Maheep Kapoor won't ever get fillers done again: ‘I looked like a clown'

Maheep Kapoor recently opened up about her experience of opting for fillers during the second season of Bollywood Wives. 'Once I did Bollywood Wives, there is magic and innocence when you do the first season because we were so raw. I didn't even know what my back side looked like. Who sees your back side? I was like, my hair, my back… I need to work out a little more. You see every angle of yourself. Suddenly, you become aware. Then that magic, it transforms into a little more pressure,' Maheep, 42, said. So, by season two, 'I did fillers', said Maheep in a conversation with Filmfare. 'I looked like a clown. I did. It didn't suit me at all. I had to wait for it to dissolve, settle in. Now they are out of my ways. I will never ever do fillers again. I have a round face. They only suit certain faces. It is just a little bit of advice for those thinking of it. Always go to a good doctor,' added Maheep. According to her, 'Botox is just amazing'. 'It freshens up your whole face,' said Maheep, married to actor Sanjay Kapoor. She also differentiated between fillers and Botox. 'Fillers is like taking a pump in a flat tire, such that you are pumping. But then you can overpump and look like a balloon. Botox is like freezing, like ironing your clothes, which takes out the wrinkles. I love Botox,' shared Maheep. During the conversation, she also underlined that she is 'not a narcissist' but 'very aware.' 'We are living in the age of social media, where people are very cruel,' said Maheep. While age bashing is one of the 'worst' comments on social media according to her, she loves the fact that 'many consider me as their spirit animal'. Taking a cue from her admission, let's understand the difference between the two. Dr Anmol Chugh, consultant, Plastics and Aesthetics Centre, CK Birla Hospital, Gurgaon, shared that Botox is a commonly used injectable against wrinkles. 'It is used to treat wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes and works for three to six months,' shared Dr Chugh. Fillers are injectables, too, but they are used to add volume in cases of issues like eye hollowness or deflated/saggy cheeks. 'It's an OPD procedure that takes 20 minutes, and the results last for 1 to 1.5 years,' shared Dr Chugh. It is crucial to meet a certified plastic surgeon and determine the limitations, results, utility, and need of a surgical procedure for better results.
