From Bengaluru to Nepal: RCB fans gear up for historic IPL 2025 final

RCB are all set to take part in their fourth IPL final on Tuesday, June 3 and the fans across the globe are getting ready in their own unique way. From auto drivers in Bengaluru giving free rides for passengers to fans in Nepal getting ready for special screenings, the anticipation for the big game is reaching fever pitch. RCB have enjoyed a fantastic season this time around, winning all their away games and thrashing PBKS in the Qualifier 1 in Mullanpur in convincing fashion. This has got the fans excited and ready for the clash in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. advertisementParshuram Shetty, an auto driver in Bengaluru, has been celebrating RCB in a unique way by offering free rides to passengers wearing the RCB jersey. Along with his friend Ajmal Hussain, he has completed numerous rides this season. 'This is definitely our year and so we are very excited. I've been supporting RCB for as long as I can remember – matchdays are a big deal at home. I have three children and even their moods are tied to the team's performance,' he said. 'The team is in form, and we're backing them all the way.' From across the border, 25-year-old Samagra Adhikari, who founded the RCB Fan Club Nepal, shares that the group will be represented at the final. 'While I won't be able to travel for the match as we're hosting screenings in Nepal, a few of our members will be there in Ahmedabad, cheering the team on,' he said. advertisement'Over 20 of us had travelled for the CSK game in Bengaluru and the atmosphere was incredible. What's beautiful is how other fan clubs, like RCB Fan Army and Namma Team RCB, have helped us grow. We may be in Nepal, but we feel part of something big.' The RCB Nepal fan club currently boasts a strong following on social media. 'The passion for RCB here is real and it's growing every day,' he added In Delhi, superfan, Abhimanyu Rao marked RCB's league-stage win over Chennai Super Kings earlier in the season by feeding 1,000 people. 'We were originally planning for 500, but it turned into a celebration,' he shared. 'If we win the final, we're planning to double that number.' Allen Abhishek, who founded the RCB Fan Army back in 2009, will be in Bengaluru for the final. 'While a huge number of us will be in Ahmedabad to cheer the team on, I wanted to stay in Bengaluru because it's going to be special here,' he opined. 'We've got our flags and banners ready, and we're planning a march through the city right after we win. Among those making the trip to Ahmedabad for the final is Yashas MT, who has been supporting RCB since 2009. advertisement'I've been connected to the team since the days of Dravid and Kumble,' he says. 'I actually booked my tickets before we had even confirmed our place in the final, maybe I manifested it in some way,' he joked. 'We've been consistently reaching the playoffs in recent years. This will be the year.' From superfan Sugumar, to a couple who held up a "Play Bold" banner at their wedding, and a pilgrim who carried his jersey for a sacred dip at the Mahakumbh, each moment shows the connection the fans have with the team ahead of the big final. ‘Zinta's Team Won Kya?': Salman Khan's old tweet sparks RCB's epic troll after win over Punjab Kings in IPL 2025

When Bollywood and cricket collide, fireworks are guaranteed—and this time, the spark came from an 11-year-old tweet! After defeating the Punjab Kings in style, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) took their celebrations from the pitch straight to Twitter, resurrecting a classic Salman Khan post that perfectly set the stage for some cheeky trolling. Salman Khan's old tweet Back in 2014, Salman Khan had innocently tweeted, 'Zinta's team won kya?' —a nod to actress and Punjab Kings' co-owner Preity Zinta. Fast forward to 2025, RCB pounced on the throwback goldmine moments after their win, replying with a mic-drop comeback: "Sorry bhai, not today." Sorry bhai, not today. 😌 — Royal Challengers Bengaluru (@RCBTweets) April 20, 2025 The timing, the tone, and the throwback? Flawless. On the ground, the Virat Kohli–Devdutt Padikkal partnership was on full throttle, smashing a 103-run stand that made chasing Punjab's 157-run total look like a cakewalk. Kohli's unbeaten 73 off 54 balls, paired with Padikkal's fiery 61 off just 35, was a masterclass in pressure-free batting. And before that, RCB's spin combo of Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma had already put the brakes on Punjab's batting hopes. RCB dropped another bomb—this time, a video of Kohli dancing with the caption: "Every masterpiece has a copy. Stick to the original. Enjoy." That not-so-subtle jab was aimed squarely at Punjab Kings, who had earlier tried to mimic Kohli's dance moves after their win in a previous encounter. This was RCB's way of saying: imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery—but the original is always one step ahead. Every masterpiece has a copy. Stick to the original. Enjoy. 😊 #PlayBold — Royal Challengers Bengaluru (@RCBTweets) April 20, 2025 This IPL isn't just about boundaries and wickets—it's about memes, nostalgia, and clever callbacks. RCB's social media game has now become as thrilling as their on-field exploits, turning even forgotten tweets into viral moments. In a season packed with high-octane action, one thing is clear—whether it's Virat Kohli leading a chase or Salman Khan's decade-old question finding a new answer, RCB knows how to keep the crowd entertained.
