CPVC Check Valve – Affordable and Long-Lasting Solutions
When it comes to ensuring the smooth and safe operation of fluid handling systems, selecting the right valve is critical. One of the most effective and widely used valves in industrial and commercial applications is the CPVC check valve. Designed to prevent backflow, a CPVC check valve offers a reliable, cost-effective, and corrosion-resistant solution for managing fluid flow, especially in corrosive environments. In this guide, we delve into everything you need to know about CPVC check valves, from their benefits and technical features to applications and why they stand out as affordable and long-lasting options. A CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) check valve is a one-way valve that allows fluid to flow in one direction only and automatically prevents reverse flow. This is crucial in preventing contamination, equipment damage, or process disruption in a piping system. The valve operates based on internal pressure and flow direction. When fluid flows in the intended direction, it pushes open the valve. If the flow stops or reverses, the valve closes automatically due to internal pressure or a spring mechanism. CPVC material offers excellent resistance to corrosive chemicals and acidic solutions, making the valve ideal for chemical processing, water treatment, and similar industries. Designed for long service life, CPVC check valves can withstand high pressures and temperatures while maintaining mechanical integrity. Being lightweight compared to metal valves, CPVC valves are easy to install, transport, and maintain. CPVC valves require minimal upkeep due to their resistance to scale, rust, and chemical degradation. These valves provide excellent performance at a fraction of the cost of metallic alternatives, offering significant savings over the life of the product. Property Specification Material CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) Valve Type Swing Type / Spring Loaded / Ball Check Size Range 1/2″ to 6″ (custom sizes available) End Connection Socket, Threaded, Flanged Pressure Rating Up to 150 PSI (depending on design) Temperature Range 0°C to 93°C Operation Automatic (non-return) Standard Compliance ASTM D1784, ISO, ANSI CPVC check valves are used in a wide variety of applications, including: Chemical Processing Plants Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems Swimming Pools and Spas Irrigation Systems Pharmaceutical and Food Processing Power Plants Marine and Aquaculture Installations Ensures fluid flows in one direction, protecting sensitive equipment and maintaining system integrity. Excellent Chemical Resistance: Compatible with a wide range of acids, bases, and salts, making it suitable for aggressive environments. Maintains strength and shape at high temperatures up to 93°C. Lightweight body and multiple connection options allow for quick and hassle-free installation. Available in various styles and sizes to meet diverse application needs. CPVC is recyclable and contributes to sustainable engineering practices. Regular Inspection: Check for debris or blockages periodically. Check for debris or blockages periodically. Eye Care Product Recall Issued Nationwide
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Several eye care products have been recalled nationwide due to potential safety risks. BRS Analytical Service, LLC initiated the voluntary recall after manufacturing issues raised possible concerns about product quality and safety. Newsweek contacted distributor AvKARE, which has highlighted the recall, for comment via online form on Monday, outside of standard working hours. Why It Matters The Food and Drug Administration last week gave BRS' eye drops recall its second highest warning rating, and said the recall applied to more than 70,000 items nationwide. What To Know The recall was initiated after Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) deviations were identified during an audit by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), according to product distributor AvKARE. While no specific health hazards have been confirmed, the company warned that cGMP deviations could lead to "products of unacceptable quality" and "it is not possible to rule out patient risks resulting from use of these products." The FDA categorized BRS Analytical Service recalls a Class II risk, meaning it represents "a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote." "We will issue full credit including shipping cost for any returns," AvKARE said in it's announcement. "If you have any question on this matter, please contact us." AvKARE also acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the recall, stating in the official notice: "We regret any inconvenience that this may cause." What Happens Next Those in possession of the affected products were advised to stop using them immediately and return them. Anyone with questions about the recall was urged to contact AvKARE.

Urgent safety recall for eye care products
(WJW) – Multiple over-the-counter eye care products are being voluntarily recalled nationwide after a U.S. Food and Drug Administration audit revealed serious manufacturing violations. BRS Analytical Service announced the consumer-level recall of five ophthalmic solutions due to violations of current good manufacturing practices. Though the specific health hazards remain undetermined, the deviations raise concerns that the products may not meet quality standards, making potential risks to patients impossible to rule out. Rethink when you fix your dog, new study says The recalled products include: Artificial Tears Ophthalmic Solution (NDC# 50268-043-15) Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium Ophthalmic Gel 1% (NDC# 50268-066-15) Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium Ophthalmic Solution (NDC# 50268-068-15) Lubricant Eye Drops Solution (NDC# 50268-126-15) Polyvinyl Alcohol Ophthalmic Solution (NDC# 50268-678-15) Click here to sign up for recall alerts These items were distributed between May 26, 2023, and April 21, 2025.
