A diverse line-up of events is set to entertain audiences at Lighthouse, Poole in July 2025. Kicking off the month, Armonico Consort will perform Rachmaninov's Vespers by Candlelight on Thursday, July 3 at 7pm in the concert hall. The Salts will follow on Saturday, July 5 at 8pm, with their sea shanties and maritime classics. Louise Jordan will bring her musical concert 'Her Stories' to the Sherling Studio on Thursday, July 10 at 8pm, celebrating the lives of lesser-known women throughout history. Scummy Mummies: Hot Mess will feature on Friday, July 11 at 7.45pm in the theatre, tackling subjects from menopause to mansplaining with new songs, sketches and stand-up. The same evening, three comedians will feature in the monthly Coastal Comedy at 7.30pm in the Sherling Studio. Comedian Jason Manford will perform his latest show, 'A Manford All Seasons,' on Thursday, July 17 at 7.30pm in the concert hall. The following day, Friday, July 18, will see a tribute to Whitney Houston with 'Queen of the Night' at 7.30pm. The concert hall will also host The Smyths on Saturday, July 19 at 7.30pm, celebrating 40 years since The Smiths played Poole Arts Centre on the Meat Is Murder tour. The Second Summer of Love will follow in the Sherling Studio on the same day at 8pm, exploring mid-life recovery and coming of age. A dementia-friendly screening of the film musical 'Annie' will take place on Thursday, July 24 at 2pm in the cinema. The monthly original grassroots music night, Live and Unheard, will feature Cornish singer-songwriter Archie Ray, alt-pop rockers Boundless Brothers and poetic lyricist Mia Nicholls on the same day at 7.30pm in the Sherling Studio. Tickets can be purchased via the Lighthouse, Poole website, where age guidance for selected performances is also available.
