Bon Jovi's Unlikely Single Turns Out To Be One Of The Band's Biggest Hits

Bon Jovi and Pitbull's 'Now or Never' logs its sixteenth week on Billboard's Pop Airplay chart, ... More ranking as the band's fourth-longest radio hit on the top 40 tally. (Photo by Koh Hasebe/) Bon Jovi scored the most unlikely of hits earlier this year by teaming up with multi-genre musician Pitbull. The latter star has landed a number of hits throughout the past few years by repurposing melodies and interpolating hooks from older, familiar smashes by other artists, reworking them into something exciting and new for a different audience. He took parts of "It's My Life" by the rock band and turned it into his 2025 smash "Now or Never," an electronically charged dance-pop cut. The tune sounds little like anything Bon Jovi has produced before, and yet it has become one of the group's biggest hits. "Now or Never" is present on the Pop Airplay chart, Billboard's ranking of the most successful tunes at top 40 radio in the United States. This frame, it dips 10 spaces to No. 33, so it is approaching the bottom of the 40-spot roster — but it's not done being played at pop radio just yet. Last week, the single reached its all-time peak, and the length of time it has spent on the list shows just how popular the tune has become. As of this frame, "Now or Never" has spent 16 weeks on the Pop Airplay tally. It ranks as Bon Jovi's fourth-longest-charting track on the radio list, out of a total of a lucky 13 placements dating back decades. "Always" stands out as Bon Jovi's biggest win on the Pop Airplay ranking, both in terms of length of time spent on the roster and peak position. That track, which arrived in 1994, rose all the way to the runner-up space and spent exactly half a year on the ranking. "It's My Life" — which, of course, introduced the chorus that would later center "Now or Never" — missed that longevity record by one week. "Bed of Roses" is just two frames ahead of "Now or Never," with 18 weeks spent on the Pop Airplay chart. "Now or Never" could match that sum if its decline slows, but if it suffers another tumble like it did this time around, it will disappear very soon.

Benson Boone Doubles His Career Top 10s With His New Single

Benson Boone's album American Heart isn't even out yet, but it's already proving to be a true hitmaker. The set, expected in June, has produced a trio of singles — two of which have already become major radio wins in the United States. The first of the bunch, "Sorry, I'm Here for Someone Else," continues its ascent across a number of airplay tallies this week. As it climbs, it helps the singer-songwriter double his total number of successes inside the most competitive space on one very busy roster, which is regarded as one of the hardest to dominate. "Sorry, I'm Here for Someone Else" lifts from No. 11 to No. 10 on the Pop Airplay chart this frame. It does so in its eleventh week, becoming Boone's second career top 10 on the ranking of the most successful tunes at top 40 pop stations throughout the country. With this latest growth spurt, he instantly doubles his total number of appearances in that tier. Boone had previously only cracked the top 10 with "Beautiful Things." That tune turned him into a pop phenomenon last year, and it spent four weeks at the summit. "Beautiful Things" has gone on to rack up more stays on the Pop Airplay chart than all of Boone's other hits combined. It managed 60 turns on the tally during its lifetime, while his other four have not collectively reached that milestone yet. Boone almost claimed a second top 10 hit on the Pop Airplay list in September 2024 with "Slow It Down." The single, taken from his debut album Fireworks & Rollerblades, missed out on the loftiest tier by just one space, as it peaked at No. 11. "Sorry, I'm Here for Someone Else" also steps up to a new peak on the Adult Pop Airplay tally. On that ranking, it has already entered the top 10, and this frame it moves north one more space — just as it does on the Pop Airplay list — reaching a new high point of No. 6. The cut is also steady at its all-time best showing of No. 19 on the Adult Contemporary roster. Boone's recent single "Mystical Magical" has yet to impact radio in America, even though it appears on several other Billboard rankings. Meanwhile, "Beautiful Things" is somehow still running the show on the Adult Contemporary chart, 63 weeks into its lifetime.

Blackpink's Jennie Beats Her Own Band With A New Hit

Blackpink's Jennie earns her third solo Pop Airplay hit with 'Like Jennie,' passing Rosé and moving ... More closer to Lisa's record among solo female K-pop stars. (Photo by LOIC VENANCE / AFP) (Photo by LOIC VENANCE/AFP via Getty Images) Jennie continues to carve out her own space in American pop music history week after week – and she does so again this chart frame. The Blackpink superstar sees her solo single 'Like Jennie' arrive on a highly competitive Billboard radio ranking, and in doing so, she moves past several familiar faces to claim another impressive milestone and keeps promotion of her solo album Ruby going. 'Like Jennie' opens at No. 40 on Billboard's Pop Airplay chart this week, sneaking onto the roster in the final spot. It's a humbling start, but appearing on this particular ranking at all is a real win for any K-pop act. The Pop Airplay tally measures the most-played tracks on top 40 stations across the U.S., and competition is always especially fierce. With 'Like Jennie,' Jennie claims her third solo entry on the Pop Airplay tally. That gives her one of the largest accumulations of hits among all K-pop acts pursuing careers without a group to lean on. Among solo female K-pop stars, it's a really big deal, as only a select few artists who fit that description have managed more than one appearance, and even fewer have scored three. Until last week, Jennie was tied with her Blackpink bandmate Rosé when it came to solo hits on the Pop Airplay chart. Both singers had two wins apiece, standing side-by-side behind one other major name. Now, Jennie moves ahead of Rosé by securing her third entry, pushing her into sole possession of second place among solo female K-pop acts on the radio ranking. While Jennie has pushed past Rosé, she still trails another Blackpink member. Lisa currently leads the pack among solo female K-pop artists, with four Pop Airplay hits to her credit. Lisa recently added her fourth winner, keeping her at the top for now. Jennie's solo wins are beginning to eclipse some of the smashes she collected as part of Blackpink. With three solo appearances on the Pop Airplay chart, Jennie now edges past her own group, which has only earned two entries throughout its career. Blackpink first landed on the tally back in 2020 with 'Ice Cream,' a collaboration with Selena Gomez that marked a real breakthrough. The band followed up two years later with 'Pink Venom,' which doubled the group's career count. Jennie's solo rise on American radio has been relatively quick. She earned her debut on the Pop Airplay chart just over a year ago, in February 2024, when she appeared alongside The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp on 'One of the Girls.' That collaboration proved to be a major smash, sticking around the roster for 15 frames and peaking at No. 18. After that, Jennie scored again with 'Mantra,' which arrived in very late 2024 and went on to spend 10 weeks on the list. Now, 'Like Jennie' extends her streak of hits, and it may hold on for months, if it's promoted well.

Bon Jovi Earns A Brand New Top 10 Hit Single

Bon Jovi's latest single 'Now or Never' has turned out to be something of a surprise hit. Throughout 2025, the collaboration – powered by Pitbull and built around a familiar Bon Jovi hook—has spent months climbing various Billboard charts, dipping here and there but always finding a way to rebound, at least so far. Just when it looked like the collaboration might be on its way out, it pulls off an unexpected feat: a brand new peak on a particularly competitive list. 'Now or Never' hits a new high on the Hot Dance/Electronic/Pop Songs chart. The genre-blending cut lifts from No. 13 to No. 9, becoming a top 10 hit for the very first time on Billboard's recently-introduced tally that ranks the most popular tunes that combine pop with dance and electronic elements. The rise of 'Now or Never' marks a career milestone for both of the stars involved. The track is now the first top 10 hit for Bon Jovi and Pitbull on the Hot Dance/Electronic/Pop Songs chart. That's not really surprising, though, since the list is only a few months old. Just one week ago, 'Now or Never' returned to the Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart after falling off entirely. The cut re-entered at No. 13, narrowly finding space on the 15-spot roster. Before that, it had climbed as high as No. 11, and more than once. While its most exciting placement this frame is its new top 10 finish on the Hot Dance/Pop Songs list, 'Now or Never' is also performing well on several other Billboard charts. The tune holds steady at No. 12 on the Adult Pop Airplay tally, just one spot shy of its peak on that radio-focused roster. Elsewhere, the title's experience is something of a mixed bag. The track slips to No. 13 on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart and falls to No. 30 on the Pop Airplay list. 'Now or Never' is part of a recent trend by Pitbull, who's been crafting modern EDM-laced anthems using nostalgic melodies from earlier hits. For this cut, he borrows the chorus of 'It's My Life,' one of Bon Jovi's most recognizable tunes, and transforms it into something new. The end result is a high-energy, club-ready single that repackages a rock staple for a different generation of listeners, and it's resonating with Americans.
