Surprisingly enough, Carpenter responded to the comment herself, earning plenty of support from her fans as a result. She didn't need to say much, but handled the situation in a way that only she could: 'girl yes,' she writes in response, 'and it is goooooood.' As mentioned, the original album artwork shared received nearly 60,000 likes at this time. As for Carpenter's response, however, she's earned nearly 200,000 likes with an additional 3,200 comments in response to her comeback. It certainly proved her point enough that the user she responded to has since had their account completely suspended and thus the comment deleted. In more recent news, Carpenter is also said to be in the running for a potential role in the new X-Men reboot set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which would take the growing celebrity back to her roots in which she was known for her acting roles prior to her massive music career.
