'Unresponsive': a two-year-old child has died, police are at the scene
A two-year-old child has died after an incident at a home in Fingal Bay on Monday.
Emergency services were called to the house at about 12.10pm.
When they arrived, they found the toddler was "unresponsive".
Police officers attempted CPR until NSW Ambulance paramedics and CareFlight doctors arrived.
However, the child died at the scene.
A Port Stephens-Hunter Police spokesperson said "it may have been a medical episode, but we're still at the scene investigating".
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Police allege the incident occurred after a 19-year-old male veered onto the wrong side of Newcastle Road in a Commodore in an effort to evade police.
