Baltimore woman sentenced in federal Grant County drug case
ELKINS, — Baltimore resident Daniela Marie Giancoli was sentenced Thursday to more than 12 years in federal prison for supplying fentanyl to dealers in West Virginia, according to the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of West Virginia.
According to court documents and statements made in court, Giancoli and co-defendant, Michael Matthews, worked together out of their Baltimore apartment to sell drugs to more than 10 dealers in Grant County. During the investigation, nearly 9,000 fentanyl pills, weighing more than two kilograms, were seized.
Giancoli, 35, will serve three years of supervised release following her 150-month sentence.
Matthews previously pled guilty and was sentenced to 100 months in prison.
