Stellantis stands alone as the only automaker with Super Bowl commercials in 2025

Stellantis says it's the only automaker with commercials in this year's Super Bowl. The automaker gave a preview online Thursday, as actor Glen Powell put his own twist on "Goldilocks and the Three Bears," fighting and barbecuing a dragon and launching a truck across a volcano, the company said. The spot for Ram is scheduled to air during the two-minute warning before halftime of Sunday's game. An ad for Jeep has also been promised. Powell, whose credits include "Twisters" and who has worked in a previous Ram campaign, tells the Powell-adapted version of the classic fairy tale to his real-life niece and nephew, the company said in a news release. The "Drive Your Own Story" commercial for Ram was directed by David Leitch, whose other credits include "Deadpool 2" and "John Wick." Van Halen's "Panama" provides the soundtrack. When the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles face off in a broadcast on Fox on Sunday evening, spots will reportedly be in the neighborhood of $8 million. Stellantis and its predecessor Fiat Chrysler Automobiles have a history of bringing both humorous and more transcendent messages to Super Bowl audiences, highlighted by the 2011 "Born of Fire" Chrysler ad, featuring Eminem and a resilient Motor City. It didn't advertise last year. Contact Eric D. Lawrence: elawrence@ Become a subscriber.
