Biden Unaware Of Executive Orders 'Signed' By Autopen: Report
President Joe Biden issued 162 executive orders over the course of his Oval Office tenure, but according to a new report, most of them were signed by 'autopen,' giving rise to concerns that unelected White House staffers may have had more say in shaping policy than the president. The report is furthering those concerns and suggesting that Biden may not have even been aware of the existence of the orders being signed in his name. The American energy advocacy group Power the Future published the report Wednesday, examining eight Biden-era executive orders on climate change and U.S. energy policy, and found 'no evidence' that Biden ever spoke about or acknowledged the existence of any of these orders. 'Not in a press conference. Not in a speech. Not even a video statement,' Power the Future's report stated. Power the Future Executive Director Daniel Turner said in a statement, 'Americans deserve to know which unelected staffers or radical unnamed activists implemented sweeping change through an autopen. The Biden energy agenda destroyed the livelihoods of energy workers and fueled the record-high inflation that broke the budgets of millions of Americans.' He asked, 'The question is simple, and deserves an immediate answer: what did Joe Biden know, and when did he know it?' According to the Oversight Project, dedicated to government accountability, practically every order signed by Biden was signed via autopen, with the exception of his announcement withdrawing from the 2024 presidential election. The Oversight Project cited House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), who questioned Biden on an executive order affecting liquefied natural gas (LNG) and reported that the president didn't remember signing the order. 'He looks at me, stunned, and he said, 'I didn't do that,'' Johnson recounted. He continued, 'And I said to him, 'Mr. President, yes you did, it was an executive order, like, you know, three weeks ago.' And he goes, 'No, I didn't do that.' … It occurred to me … he was not lying to me. He genuinely did not know what he had signed.' 'For investigators to determine whether then-President Biden actually ordered the signature of relevant legal documents, or if he even had the mental capacity to, they must first determine who controlled the autopen and what checks there were in place,' the Oversight Project wrote in a social media post. The accountability organization continued, 'Given President Biden's decision to revoke Executive Privilege for individuals advising Trump during his first Presidency, this is a knowable fact that can be determined with the correct legal process…' Click here to read more…

‘No evidence' Biden was aware of major executive orders, watchdog says
A nonprofit watchdog group is urging Congress to investigate whether former President Joe Biden was aware of certain executive orders after the organization discovered there was 'no evidence' that Biden was aware of multiple climate policy executive orders allegedly signed with an autopen. According to Fox News, Power the Future, an organization that advocates for American energy, recently reviewed eight executive orders that the watchdog group believes were signed by autopen. The watchdog group claims that while the executive orders represented major changes in America's energy policies, there was 'no evidence' that Biden had publicly spoken about the policy changes. Power the Future Executive Director Daniel Turner told Fox News, 'These are not obscure bureaucratic memos; these were foundational shifts in American energy policy, yet not once did Joe Biden speak about them publicly.' In a recent letter to House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.), Power the Future said, 'In light of the growing evidence that actions purportedly taken by the former president may not have been approved or signed by him, but instead promulgated by a small coterie of advisers in his name without his knowledge or over his signature using an 'autopen,' the need for congressional access to information has grown in importance with these revelations.' According to Power the Future's website, the executive orders in question include a pledge that the federal government would achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, an Arctic drilling ban, an offshore drilling ban, and a mandate for 'clean energy' artificial intelligence centers. 'Were these actions taken on behalf of the president and purporting to execute his authority undertaken with the president's knowledge and approach? It appears incumbent upon Congress to inquire, about all parties involved in these actions, who instructed them to do what, when.' Turner told Fox News that the Biden administration directed hundreds of billions of dollars to 'pet green projects' and 'punished' the fossil fuels industry in the United States. Turner emphasized that the American people 'deserve to know' who was behind the executive orders since there is 'no evidence that Biden ordered it, directed it, or was even aware it was happening in his name.' 'This autopen scandal is evidence that these green EOs are invalid, and the instigators should be thoroughly investigated by the DOJ for violating the trust of the American people and perpetuating a great fraud on the nation,' Turner added.

FIRST ON FOX: A pro-energy group is renewing its call for an investigation into over half a dozen Biden administration executive actions related to climate that it believes should be deemed null and void due to them being signed by an autopen without any public comment from former President Joe Biden confirming his knowledge of them. Power the Future, a nonprofit organization that advocates for American energy jobs, reviewed eight Biden executive orders that it says were significant shifts in domestic energy policy and said it found no evidence of the president speaking about any of them publicly, raising concerns that the orders were signed by autopen and that he was not aware of them. "These are not obscure bureaucratic memos; these were foundational shifts in American energy policy, yet not once did Joe Biden speak about them publicly," Daniel Turner, founder and executive director of Power The Future, told Fox News Digital. The Signing Device At The Heart Of Trump's Attacks On Biden Pardons Fox News Digital reached out to Biden's office for comment but did not hear back by press time. The presidential autopen has been a topic of conversation with Republicans in recent weeks and months as questions continue about Biden's mental acuity during his presidency, particularly the last few years, which have faced increased scrutiny after the release of Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson's book "Original Sin." "Power The Future remains concerned that key policies of major economic and national security significance directed by the White House during the Biden administration may have been undertaken without presidential awareness and approval, but perhaps instead by a small coterie of staff," the letter states. "Although this likelihood has become more apparent by claims made in a recent book titled Original Sin, those claims merely support information that had already emerged." An autopen is a device that physically holds a pen and is programmed to replicate a person's signature. The Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel determined in 2005 that the president is permitted to use an autopen to sign bills into law, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit issued a ruling in February that said the absence of "a writing does not equate to proof that a commutation did not occur." In March, President Donald Trump claimed that Biden's pardons of lawmakers who served on the House Select Committee to investigate the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot, and others, are "VOID," alleging that they had been signed via an autopen and that Biden did not even know about them. "Presidents are allowed to use the autopen, and courts will not presume a dead-hand conspiracy," Turley said. Power the Future's letter references House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., who in January shared that Biden, during a meeting, appeared to forget that he signed an order to pause LNG exports. A report published by an arm of the Heritage Foundation claimed that the majority of official documents signed by Biden were allegedly an autopen signature. "During the Biden administration, hundreds of billions of dollars were funneled towards pet green projects, while the American fossil fuels industry was punished, and there is no evidence that Biden ordered it, directed it, or was even aware it was happening in his name," Turner told Fox News Digital, adding that the American people "deserve to know" who was signing the executive orders "behind closed doors." Energy watchdog exposes eye-popping carbon footprint of Sanders' jet-setting tour: 'Fake socialist'
FIRST ON FOX: As Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders continues to travel around the country on his "Fighting Oligarchy" tour, while at the same time defending his use of private jets to do so, an energy watchdog group has calculated the true scope of the carbon emissions his flights have emitted. During the 16 stops of the tour, which Sanders embarked on with the help of progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, his private jet emitted a total of 62.15 tonnes, or metric tons, of carbon dioxide, according to an estimate from Power the Future. To put that in perspective, Power the Future said in a press release that the emissions equate to burning 62,600 pounds of coal, driving a gas-powered SUV 150,000 miles, powering every home in Sanders' hometown of Burlington, Vermont, for weeks, and powering nine U.S. homes for an entire year. Power the Future also calculated that Sanders generated more carbon dioxide emissions on this single tour than the average American produces in five years. Additionally, the group says that the emissions undo the carbon-capturing work of nearly 2,900 trees over the course of a year. Sanders, in a recent interview with Fox News, refused to apologize for his private jet travel and argued that oftentimes it is not possible or feasible to fly commercially. Sanders' campaign committee, Friends of Bernie Sanders, spent over $221,000 chartering private jets during the first quarter of 2025, according to Federal Election Commission filings reviewed by Fox News Digital and first reported by The Washington Free Beacon. The filing, which was released last month, shows that Sanders dropped the massive haul between three private jet companies: Ventura Jets, Cirrus Aviation Services and N-Jet. Last month, Fox News Digital exclusively reported that Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez were spotted using a private jet worth up to a staggering $15,000 an hour for several West Coast stops on their "Fighting Oligarchy" tour. "Champagne socialists Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez demand Americans surrender their pick-up trucks, air conditioning and meat from the luxe leather seats of their private jets that cost more per hour than most Americans earn in months. Fossil fuel evangelist headlines Gov. Dunleavy's ‘Alaska Sustainable Energy Conference'

Mike Dunleavy featured a relatively straight-laced group of scientific experts and Biden administration officials. At this year's conference in June, with President Donald Trump promoting American 'energy dominance' and trying to boost oil production, the conference's agenda has taken a sharp righthand turn: One of the 'featured speakers' at the June event is Alex Epstein, a fossil fuel evangelist from California and author of a 2022 book titled 'Fossil Future: Why Global Human Flourishing Requires More Oil, Coal, and Natural Gas — Not Less.' Epstein's website lists a standard $37,000 fee to speak at an in-person event. He did not respond to a request for comment Wednesday; a Dunleavy spokesman, Grant Robinson, said that the conference's speaker agreements 'are not public information.' If there's a fee, Robinson said, it would be negotiated between the speaker and the contractor that's helping to organize the energy conference, and it would be 'paid with conference sponsorships and ticket revenue.' Epstein, a self-described 'philosopher and energy expert,' has testified multiple times before U.S. Congress and asserts that policies to reduce fossil fuel use among developing countries are 'immoral.' His arguments and talking points on behalf of expanded fossil fuel consumption have made him a favorite speaker for some conservative elected officials and their ideological allies. Also joining Epstein as a featured speaker is Daniel Turner, whose national group, Power the Future, has aggressively promoted expanded extraction of Alaska's coal, oil and natural gas and says 'renewables are not the answer.' Turner describes his work as fighting 'to protect American energy workers from the eco-Left' and from 'Hollywood phonies.' In a press release Tuesday, Dunleavy's office said the conference would explore the future of energy in Alaska and on a global scale. Its focus will include artificial intelligence and the electricity needed to power data centers, advancements in renewable and nuclear power and the 'continued responsible development of Alaska oil, gas, and mineral resources,' the release said.
