2 ultrasound centres sealed in Barhi block
Chatra: On the instructions of deputy commissioner (DC) Nancy Sahay, two ultrasound centres operating in Barhi block have been sealed due to violation of rules on Tuesday.
The action was taken by a special investigation team formed by the district administration, in which medical and administrative officials jointly inspected the centres.
During the investigation, it was found that the doctors authorised to do ultrasound were not present at both the centres, which comes under the category of serious violation under the PCPNDT Act.
Deputy superintendent of Barhi referral hospital, Dr Prakash Gyani said that the absence of a doctor at the time of inspection clearly shows negligence and violation of regulatory conditions.
