Indian tourist mauled by tiger in Thailand while posing for photo; video goes viral: ‘What is this monstrosity?'

A chilling moment caught on camera has gone viral, showing a tiger suddenly attacking a tourist at what appears to be an animal park in Thailand. The video, first shared on X, captures what was meant to be a seemingly routine photo session that turned chaotic in seconds. At the start of the clip, an Indian tourist can be seen walking alongside a chained tiger and a man holding a stick, likely the animal's handler. As the tourist poses for a picture, the trainer tries to get the tiger to sit, gesturing with the stick in his hand. But the tiger abruptly pounces on the tourist. The camera jolts violently, making the footage blurry, but the chaos is unmistakable — terrified screams pierce the air as people scramble in panic. The post that shared the video was captioned, 'Apparently an Indian man attacked by a tiger in Thailand. This is one of those places where they keep tigers like pets and people can take selfies, feed them etc etc.' Apparently an Indian man attacked by a tiger in Thailand. When asked if he was okay, the original poster replied, 'Yes, apparently, minor injuries.' As the clip spread rapidly, social media users weighed in with both concern and criticism. One viewer noted, 'Cats generally do not like being petted on the lower (back) body especially near butts. This man was petting the tiger continuously near above mentioned body area which must have frustrated the tiger. Final straw was when the man cupped it for a photo.' Another user said, 'Bro suddenly remembered that he was a Tiger not a dog!' The video also triggered a wave of humour. One user complained about the camera work: 'What is this monstrosity!!!? At least keep the phone in landscape while filming.' Someone else wrote, 'I always cheer for the animal in these situations.' The shocking footage comes just weeks after a fatal tiger attack in India. In Madhya Pradesh's Balaghat district, a man named Prakash Pane, 50, was killed by a tiger while working on his farm early one morning. According to forest official BL Sirsam, the animal had been wandering near Kundwa village for over a month. Locals reportedly rushed to the scene and tried to drive the tiger away by throwing stones after hearing the man's cries.
