Prakash Shah was known as Mukesh Ambani's right hand. He retired at the age 63 and right thereafter took diksha. He retired from the post of vice president at Reliance Industries. He and his wife Naina Shah took 'diksha' on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. His plan to take diksha was delayed, because of Covid-19 pandemic. 'Diksha' is a ritual when an individual takes a vow to lead a life of austerity. After taking diksha, one can not commit any sin and will do good deeds to get salvation. Who Is Prakash Shah? Prakash did graduation in chemical engineering and post graduation from IIT Bombay. His wife is also a commerce graduate. Together they have two sons. One of the two sons has also taken diksha years back. His other son is married and has a kid. Shah handled major projects like Jamnagar petcoke gasification project and petcoke marketing. According to the media reports, Shah was earning an annual salary of Rs 75 crores at the time when he decided to retire. As a monk, he walks barefoot, wears simple white robes and lives on alms. Shah is now 64 years old. His initiation ceremony was entirely conducted in Borivali, Mumbai. Seven years ago, when his son was initiated, he was given the name 'Bhuvan Jeet Maharaj.' He said, 'Since childhood, I had a desire to take initiation. The spiritual bliss and mental peace derived from it are incomparable.'
